You don't actually believe he was thrown off the plane for speaking Arabic, do you?

Did you actually read the story?

Why the **** is the BBC running this story unless it can verify what actually happened?

He'll need to fly hidden in a suitcase again! That was one of his previous pranks.

They are reporting what happened.

Some guy's claim that he was thrown off the plane for speaking Arabic has gone viral. Delta has stated that two men were removed after a 'disturbance' and they're investigating.

Both of those things happened.

There's enough in the article, such as the 'thrown off' being in quotation marks, and the point that the guy in question is known for pranks which he posts on YouTube, to make it clear that the truth is open to question, but that's no different to many stories in which there are claims and counter-claims about what really happened. The media still reports on it.

This guy is a YouTube prankster who repeatedly tries to scare people on flights and causes disturbances. Hopefully Delta will sue him and get substantial damages from him.

Because it fits nicely with the agenda that the BBC want to promote.

Ah ... that must be the same agenda as The Mail, The Sun, The Independent, The Guardian, The International Business Times, The Mirror, The Evening Standard, BuzzFeed, Huffington Post, USA Today, CBS, RT, AOL, New York Daily News, The New York Times, NBC, National News, ETCanada, US Weekly (to name but a few) who are all reporting it!

So they were kicked off for being loud, not for speaking Arabic which is just ridiculous.

I highly doubt they were kicked off for speaking a different language. I'm fairly sure there is more to this story than this 1 minute 25 second video shows. When you look at the history of this person, it makes you even more suspicious.

It's nothing to do with him speaking Arabic. He's a known prankster and troublemaker, he will have been going out of his way to provoke a reaction. I guess it's amusing for his millions of followers, and he's probably worth a fortune. But not so funny if you happen to be around when he's performing his stunts. I bet the majority of passengers were glad to see the back of him.

What is even worse is that the media have jumped on the racist bandwagon before even getting any facts on this.

I shouldn't be surprised really, they all have their own agenda.

He should be grateful the plane was still on the ground. What a knob.

He's a prankster, I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of them!

I remember this guy's little youtube spat with Amos Yee. Thought he was bring a knob then, going to assume he's still being a knob now.

The suspiciously short video did make me wonder, if things were as he claimed I'm sure the video would start much earlier and end a he'll of a lot later. Most probably in the terminal when security arrived.

Is he one of those 'hilarious' pranksters who stage kidnappings or robberies and then get all oppressed when the police arrest them?

It's likely a prank.

Secondly it's all good and well the outraged remainers crying on Twitter freedom of speech etc.

Freedom of speech only goes so far, and if his choice of language is distressing others then it's understandable he's been challenged.

In light of the recent terrorism, it certainly wasn't the smartest idea to go on a plane, and speak so loudly in Arabic that it distressed over 20 passengers. For all they knew, hecould of been speaking about bombing the plane in an Arabic language. (Abit ott, but you get the point I'm making).

Yes indeed. Do not victimise people from the Arab-speaking area of the world (or Muslims) because most of them are lovely and decent like the rest of us.

There must be people speaking Arabic on planes all over the world at this very moment. I do not believe this happened for one minute. It was staged or he was doing something else to upset the other passengers, e.g. speaking loudly as if he was a bit nuts (like - possibly - someone about to set off a bomb or pull out a gun).

Care to explain why Fox News have covered the story?

N.B. Could you please write WARNING in big letters at the start of your post if you're going to claim that Fox News don't like to say anything bad about Muslims! I'm drinking coffee and don't want to spray it all over the keyboard!

Yep, he's done this sort of thing many times before, this is the first time he has hit publicity pay-dirt.

Here is one example where an Australian airline called him out: https://twitter.com/TigerairAU/statu...65118797103104

Yet another example of the failure of media outlets to do basic research, fact-checking and verification.

Yep, they're getting too lazy, I'm not exactly sure when "something that happened on Twitter" became worthy of being treated as news, but can we go back to when it wasn't?

Please?

It's worse for the BBC, they know he is a serial prankster but still ran the story with an agenda, trying to portray a side of Delta Airlines that simply is not based in reality.

This isn't and should never be treated as "news". At a time where people critical of such stories are accused of spreading "fake news".
