I would love to see a return for Janine. I would also very much welcome a return for The Jackson's. I really miss Carol too.

I think serial killing plots in soaps are boring. Corrie and HO thrive on the, but EE should stay away.

It's worrying that when DTC came in he felt the need to kill off Lucy to give the soap a kick start (it had gotten so dreary). Well, at the rate we're going whoever succeeds SOC will have to kill off half the cast to try and get the show going again.

More of the same, tbh. I, for one, am enjoying the character-driven EE and am not to fussed about seeing another explosion or death anytime soon. I'd be fine with a bit more tension/drama but I really want them to keep up the improved character interactions/friendships.

Who do you mean by 'who was around'? The characters or writers/producers? Yorke worked closely with O'Connor and apparently Robinson mentored O'Connor according to some posters here.
He was responsible for some storylines in 2001 onwards - one of the biggest successful years.
After the last two nights I'd have to say some consistency. Justvwhen you think it's picking up we get two pretty dire episodes on the trot. Pity.
