Neither do I, but not sure I really care at this point. I think one of the problems with Agatha Christie in general is that she doesn't bother too much about making us care about her characters. They are just pawns in her chess game. I'm finding this adaptation hard work with the green gloom so probably won't bother with part 2.
On my screen it seems more yellow/green, so they all look like they are dying of liver failure. I dont know why they do this. |

Same reason they produce some content in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio (like the appalling John Hurt version of Whistle and I'll Come to You) and the same reason we get the mumbling we saw in Jamaica Inn and others. Producers and directors more concerned with massaging their big-screen pretensions than in serving the story, the audience and the screen size it will be shown on. When we see stuff like this we're really looking at Hollywood calling-cards.
i can only agree with your comments.... |

Anyone here who does not know how it ends?
I am just curious if anyone have managed to avoid hearing or reading about it over the years. I know, btw. Gawd knows what I'd have made of last years offering if it wasn't for the thread on here, can't say I was entertained. Even tried to watch the film featuring Charles Aznavour, 'bugger that for a game of soldiers' is all I can say of that. |

The play version of WFTP is well worth waiting for though (although - as I said before - stick with the Charles Laughton / Tyrone Power one). |

I'm really looking forward to this 2nd part, just for the twist people have mentioned. I have an idea, a guess really but i'll find out soon enough.
Edit: The post above was my guess too. |

don't know whats happened to the star of the musical singing on the moon, its all very compelling. I thought it would be a dull court room drama but its nothing like it so far

Aaah pretty clever ploy to get him off by disguising herself as the other woman.

Producers/director far too interested in being arty and adding to AC's original script - lighting shit, sound shit, ruined story by adding pointless sex scenes. What a shame.

Also the bloody coughing of the Toby Jones character - so damn aggravating. And the uncalled for bad -language that never appeared in the Christie novel/play.

Is the 'disfigured' woman Volle's girlfriend? It looked and sounded like her.
