Is the 'disfigured' woman Volle's girlfriend? It looked and sounded like her.
I swear i'm blind and deaf, it never occurred to me. But that's 2 of you who noticed.

But with an underlying lung condition because of the gas ...surprised the bronchitis did not kill him

Don't think so as he seems fine now. No more coughing thank goodness for that.

Have just watched a clip from the 1957 version, I don't think they handled that well here.

If it is correct that Ordeal by Innocence will also be filmed in the near future, it should provide an interesting counterbalance. And also a rarity, with a person of colour to be featured (unless they cut a few characters).

I hope there's ( another )twist, otherwise it's too easy.

The film version did a better job. but I've forgotten it.

Yes it was on top of lung damage having been gassed in the war...his lungs would be in really bad shape

I knew she would kill the cat.

That's the only thing I've guessed right in this.

I HATE it when writers think they can write better than Agatha Christie...

If they could, they'd be selling billions of books.

They should have left the ending to Agatha Christie!

I agree - I can't believe they have diverged so far from the original here

Wow this is actually quite depressing, poor Alice still obviously so devastated by the loss of her son, as John is. Now Janet actually has lost it.

When it's finished could we have a quick summary? I don't know the story, I know there are 2 versions though, is this different from both?
