After that 'kiss' on the x Factor final and 'alleged' secret gay relationship of 2 contestants in the x Factor final, one of which was in the final.

The DailyMail aren't trying to out anyone - they're just the medium being used for whatever narrative Satan Cowell has decided he's going with to market poor Matt Terry. Heaven forbid he actually uses someone's talent to promote them.

Matt Terry has signed to RCA, not SYCO, so what has Cowell got to do with his marketing?

You seriously think Simon has no influence over Matt just because he's signed to RCA?

They are going down the 'bromance' storyline.

Let's face it he won't sell as much music coming out as gay will get heap loads of interviews but will be forgotten about eventually like joe mceldery.

Yes, I do think that. What makes you think the Syco boss can closet someone on the RCA label?

Honestly, sometimes this forum reminds me of Tumblr. Cowell has never succeeded in closeting anyone - even back in 2000 Will Young came out as gay the day after he won Pop Ido and Simon didn't stop him.

The social media tinhats believe Cowell is an oppressive overlord whose closeting powers reach far beyond his own label but it really isn't the case. The fangurls like the idea of Fratty as a Larry replacement but Matt has given two interviews and stated that he`s straight.

You're wrong. Firstly, using Will Young as an example isnt relevant today. He "admitted" (press language) that he was gay when the Daily Mail threatened to print it, that wasn't the day after he won Pop Idol.

You can see Cowell is manipulating press all the time. A lot of the press fall at his feet still for a story and will print any old tripe he wants them to print. His usual mouthpiece is Dan Wootton at the The Sun, disgusting creature. I agree he doesn't get it all his own way as stuff happens but when he has lost control he'll do somersaults to save face. No wonder his buddy was Max Clifford.

Not true, The Sun have printed anti Cowell articles too. Do you seriously think he cares whether or not Matt Terry is gay?

He cares because the fangirls won't buy his stuff if they think he is gay and was portrayed as straight.

Because of this if he flops it affects the brand x factor.

Hmmm, shiny hats are on today. If Matt was being aggressively and forcibly closeted against his will to protect his image (even though this is illegal) surely as well as shoving Fratty back into the closet, Cowell would have forbidden them to live together?

Marketing execs, so they can target the teen girl demographic.

Not true. What is an anti Cowell story? He sees any story as worthy as it keeps him and his brand going, and it can always be altered and counteracted later. Do you honestly think Dan Wootton would ever say anything that would have have card marked? He loves the money he gets from the whole enterprise.

PS I don't give a damn what he thinks of Matt whatsit

Dan Wooton has said many malicious things about the 1d boys. His loyalty is to his paper, which is a bigger institutional force than Simon Cowell. If The Sun had access to exclusive photos of Cowell or his gf cheating, they would publish them. Bizarre how you and so many others think Cowell is powerful enough to have The Sun in his pocket.

Given he stole his friend's wife with barely a hint of criticism in the press I wouldn't be so sure.

Exactly - if that had been any other celebrity, or heaven forbid, a politician or footballer, they would have been crucified. Cowell has an almost frightening hold over the press. But when you have friends like Max Clifford and Philip Green...

It could simply be that the press knows that by treating him like any other celebrity, as in, printing critical articles about them, this would mean that they wouldn't get any X Factor backstage info or access to rehearsals. Cowell basically has something that they want.

Do you think the fact he's on RCA actually means Simon has nothing to do with him? Of course it doesn't. Olly Murs is part signed to Epic and Simon has a big say in his career.

Simon has said on multiple occasions he would of rather Gareth Gates had won and even today there is no love lost between Simon and Will.

Read between the lines, it's not that hard. Cowell has had this anti gay fixation for ages.

Odd that someone so fervently anti gay allowed Saraa's fiancee to appear on the XF final and is also happy with Louis Walsh and Nick Grimshaw as judges.

Louis and Nick don't make him any money (easily replaced) and Saara is probably heading (long term) to the West End. He doesn't care enough about them.

I was expecting Saara's girlfriend to appear before the final. I read about her intending to come to the UK to support Saara quite a bit before the final arrived.

I think it's pretty awful the way the Mail has treated Matt Terry. He's a great bloke with an unbelievablu good voice- possilby the most vocally talented winner that the X Factor has ever had. He is also blessed with good looks. And yet the Mail for some reason wishes to bring him down through negative coverage.

You are all falling into line nicely.............By watching, reading and falling for all of the hype tripe in the press, the program itself and the aftermath.

Hook line and sinker.............You are encouraging their antics and assisting their riches.
