What are you planning to watch over the Christmas period? I don't mean soaps as they are on all year round. I'm on about the special episodes of the programmes or one-off dramas/shows. Can include films

For me:

Blankety Blank
A league of their own
Michael McIntyre's Big Christmas Show
8 out of 10 cats does countdown
Peter Kay's Comedy Shuffle

Xmas Day:
Top of the Pops
Doctor Who
Great Christmas Bake Off
Mrs Brown's Boys

Boxing Day:
Great Christmas Bake Off
Still Open all hours
Revolting Rhymes
Outnumbered

Dec 27th:
Revolting Rhymes
Walliams & Friend

Dec 28th:
Jonathon Creek

Dec 29th:
Charlie Brooker's 2016 Wipe

Dec 30th:
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
8 out of 10 cats does Countdown

Dec 31st:
Top of the Pops

Jan 1st:
Still Open all hours
Sherlock
Mrs Brown's Boys

I shall be in deep prayer all the time.
Secondly, I shall be avoiding, at all costs, any Christmas themed programmes or those that are repeated annually, ad nauseam
I loathe the whole damned period and wish it was our Summer so that it would be easier to ignore by going out somewhere nice for the day, say, the coast and take a picnic as well.

Haven't had time to look yet, but often some of the best TV gems are hidden away, before Christmas. Thoroughly enjoyed Victoria Wood night and just happened to spot (and can recommend) what turned out to be a great bio/documentary on Graham Norton on 5 earlier this week.

Except that, as in Australia, you'd find everybody's brought Christmas to the beach with them. There's no escape. None!!!! Muhuahaha!
