The whole storyline has gone on for way too long. All it is is basically Phelan looking like he's going to get his comeuppance and then he somehow gets away with it yet again. That's basically all we've seen about it for months. I hope the storyline ends soon.

I agree, it's boringly predictable and needs ending quickly somehow, hopefully with him gone from Corrie for good. He's by far the worst and most unbelievably ridiculous character.
That's apart from the fact I can't bear to look at him.
Have the police not bothered investigating the huge empty building where nothing at all had been done by builder Phelan?

Andy should have been his end. I actually dont think the storyline itself is bad but he really shouldn't stay so long. He is so evil.

You have to have money to start with to be scammed out of it.

What vile acts has Anna committed? The episodes I watched showed that people are.VERY bothered about losing their money, hence letters being sent to Phelan.

This is the reason Phelan didn't lay charges against Vinny for defrauding him out of his hard earned money. He doesn't want to be victimized again by a callous inept police force and even more hurtful, the silent treatment from non speaking extras. When his head gets better he can still hold it high. He may have lost his life savings but he hasn't lost his dignity. He should be a mentor for morons.

I was thinking, why isn't everyone who has lost money on those bogus flats, hopping mad??? I mean, who wouldn't be? Sarah for example and poor Bethany still having to sleep with her mum, with her baby brother in the cot next to them. In real life she'd be heartbroken with little or no prospect of having her own room at last.

Indeed Phelan is getting accused of things he hasn't done, he didn't kill Michael, he didn't even lay finger on him, he hasn't stolen anyone's money it was Vinny who did a runner with the money, Phelan stayed around and even took the blame telling Eileen he was prepared to graft to pay the money back, which he can't do now due to that moron Andy violently assaulting him.

And characters were bothered about losing money? Yeah, for about 1 episode before they went back to their normal lives. Sarah is coping very well at the moment, Rita will still be writing cheques for her stream of surrogate daughters and Eileen isn't too fussed her son lost his money and Todd couldn't give a toss either. If they were that bothered they would be round at Phelan's bothering him, or if they weren't so lazy look a bit deeper and see that no work was being done on the flats, which would confirm that Phelan was in on it also.
