Totally agree. Where is the"Gloved Hand Killer" when you need her.

He didn't physically kill Micheal but he prevented him from accessing medical attention, and Phelan knew of his medical condition, and often joked about it, so morally he is culpable

You should be more worried about the crew getting your order right when you order your hamburger with no onions or ketchup at the drive thru. Statistics show 73% of the time when you get home you will have gotten the wrong order. If it takes twenty minutes to get home that's a constant worry all the way. In the scheme of life there are priorities. That should be yours. With Phelan you get what you pay for so you just worry about those sons of bitches that screw you when you order to go. I hope you find peace of mind in my words. That's what the forum is all about. To reach out and alleviate your fears. Worry no more cool mate you're in good hands.

All the more reason to have him stay. Anyone who torments that foghorn is needed on the street

Your lucky if that is all you have to worry about, some of us have real important things to worry about.

The reason some people act like Phelan is soap royalty is because he is, well compared to the other mindless knuckle dragging moron wasters in CS he is at least.

I literally cannot stand Phelan. He has been ruining Corrie for me for a while now and I was so hoping that with the flats scam he would soon be found out and gone. (What the hell have the police been doing by the way? Surely they would have found enough evidence to see he was clearly in on the scam along with Vinnie? They must be completely incompetent, but I guess that just suits the scrip writers). After I was disappointed a month ago, when it was clear he was not going out of it with Vinnie and not going to be found out, at least he lay low for a while and was relatively innocuous. Now though he is back with a vengeance and to top it off he's involved in a blackmail storyline. I think this is probably the sort of storyline I hate the most in soaps - I just don't believe the people would give into it, when it would be so much easier to just tell the truth. So Phelan, my most hated character, is involved with my most hated type of plot. I have watched Corrie for about 44 years, that I can remember and have never given up on it, but I am fast reaching the point where I may have to stop watching for a while, as it's not good for blood pressure. Can someone promise to let me know when Phelan is gone please, or maybe just before, if he gets his comeuppance?

Who could not be moved by such a cry for help and a plea to keep the cost of high blood pressure precriptions down. Many wouldn't but not me Donna65s. It will be taken care of first thing in the morning. I'll go around to that hospital and kill the ****** myself. Scrambled egg still on his fork. How is that for quick service. No need to thank me either. It's what we do for each other on the forum. Yessir, Scrambled egg still on his fork.

I agree absolutely. I am one of the few who have watched Corrie on and off since the very first episode - the 'offs' only being due to not being in the UK. This storyline is one of the worst I have seen and is in all ways wrong for Corrie, it's obnoxious and evil, and Phelan types would in no way be shacked up in a terraced back street in Manchester with an Eileen. He would be off on another rip off scam before people knew what was going on - it's in his blood to be evil.

I really hope Eileen is the one who gets him, who finds out just what this evil b^^^^^^ has been doing and ensures he can't hurt anyone else. I can seriously see Andy bashing his brains in properly once he's discharged from hospital though.

I just said I would take care of it first thing in the morning. Is that not soon enough? It takes planning and travel time, but if you live closer to the hospital feel free to go along and kill the ****** yourself. If this is the kind of thanks I get I don't know why I bother.

If they were that bothered they would be round at Phelan's bothering him, or if they weren't so lazy look a bit deeper and see that no work was being done on the flats, which would confirm that Phelan was in on it also.”

Oh dear, Anna sent some poison pen letters......Phelan left a man to die.

Let me think which I would consider vile 🤔

I disagree, all showed they were distraught at losing their money.

I know how you feel. I feel exactly the same. The whole storyline of him get one over everyone is becoming very tedious. I don't rate the actor much either. I know so many people who have stopped watching Corrie because of Phelan.

I hope they don't kill Paddy Phelan off; I would like to see him make return visits at intervals.

Just out of curiosity, how many?

Just because you are a great fan of the nasty piece of work, you expect everyone to feel the same. There are some people whose moral compass is not easily swayed by characters like Phelan.

To be honest - this is why Phelan works

People are getting worked up over him which means a successful character. Why do you think Tish Merry went? They couldn't do anything with the character. The more powerful he gets - the more people bitch. Corrie is due a good villain.

He's slowly taking over the street. Dev;s shop and the Rovers should be next time.

I just realised can't you die of a brain haemorrhage a while after getting hit in the head. Has it been to long since Andy attacked Phelen or could he still die?

It helps his likability too because of who he is being nasty too, all annoying for me apart from Kev, Andy was fine until he turned into a weasel.

When a nasty character is hated and not because of his acting ability, then he/her is doing their job

Amazes me how the anti-Phelan brigade accuse him of being a nasty piece of work, yet condemn violence and making remarks like he deserves to have his head bashed in.

h.”

You've just highlighted why he is a successful character - the writers can do more with him.

You have no idea what he is going to do. How is he gonna charm these plebs into handing over more money? With a grin and a knowing wink - he's got them on side again

Eileen? Deep down she knows what he is like but she loves him anyway. Thats part of the attraction.

Surely he can't be considered successful though if he's making people switch off? I haven't bothered watching this week because of the very fact that I know Phelan is featuring heavily in it. (Who is Tish Merry by the way?)

Surely viewers are switching off for other reasons also. You aren't telling me people can sit through the other boring shite and yet Phelan is what gets them to turn off.

And since ratings are very high - can't be many switching off
