Martin Freeman has split from his wife
Wonder if this has anything to do with her bankruptcy?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...-15-years.html He (allegedly) has a 10M fortune. |

Will the divorce be tax deductible? Because the marriage certainly was.

I'm actually surprised at this and I feel quite sad for knowing enough about them to feel this way.

This CDAN blind from October was probably about them.
I have written about this foreign born couple who are at a different level of fame/fan obsession/tmblr accounts compared to the lead of their show a couple of times over the past few weeks. Apparently the couple, who are also co-stars, have split. She has erased him from her social media. As much as he is probably seeing someone else, so is she. Couple: Martin Freeman/Amanda Abbington Lead of their show: Benedict Cumberbatch/Sophie Hunter Show: "Sherlock" |

Could make any future episodes rather awkward, perhaps one of the reasons they've been talking about calling it a day?

If the follow the original stories, which they have to date, that won't be a problem after this series.

I heard that he offered to pay her entire tax deficit and she refused to let him saying she wanted to stay indepentant or something of the sort, and they had a major row about it.

She is probably better off without him. |

Must add that according to OH she earned £250,00 that year and spent it all and that's why she hadn't paid the tax. Then, despite them living in a £1.4 m house which was solely in his name, and their kids going to private schools she had herself declared bankrupt. How the rich conduct their affairs. One rule for us and another for everyone else.

Why are people still going on about her bankruptcy? It was three years ago, I doubt it had anything to do with the split.

I bet he is tight fisted and the sort of man who would not let her forget it if he helped her out. There can be no other explanation for her turning down his help as I really don't buy the wanting to be independent BS.
She is probably better off without him. |

One thing I will never understand about people who've been in a long term relationship is when they say after the split, 'we're still great friends'.
And yet not 'great' enough to be in a relationship together?? Bizarre. |

I split with him because I cared about him too much to let our relationship go to ruin and possibly cheat on him. Artificial love is couples who stay together in public whilst privately treating each other like schit. If you genuinely care about someone, you let them go when things start to go pear-shaped. |

Too painful. And besides I could never see a close sexual partner after a split as a friend. I think it has to be a complete break. But that's just me. Each to their own. Of course, I am talking about a child-less relationship. If there are kids involved there has to be a 'connection' because you're both still 'mum and dad' - particularly if the kids are young. |

Might make sense to you, but not for me. I haven't remained 'friends' with any of my exes.

Why? There's a huge difference between remaining good friends and having affection for each other and being in love enough to be in a relationship. Remaining friends is s lot to do with being mature and thinking about your children.

And you're basing that on a scenario that you've no proof of and have completely made up? Wonderful logic.
