Aye and when he did it for the Blackpool promo VT they shot tranqs into him until he didn't know where he was...

(Also I'm fairly sure AJ takes thirst-trap shots all the bloody time, ask the gays)
who me?

Yes but the thing is he's never ever done it before, not even on his wedding night.

Not sure what Ore's got to apologize for. People flaunting their abs has got to be one of the most common things Instagram is used for, especially by someone involved in a physical activity.

Rather than nabbing his pictures for the website hits, Daily Mail should get him in for a proper shoot. This time with the Strictly glitterball balanced on his head for that extra bit of flair and to see those abs reflected from different angles. Make them eat it.

I am with Olivia_P

Thought her response was rather witty, compared to subsequent comebacks.

Her posts regarding Ore elsewhere since his win are certainly not witty and seem rather OTT for what is a light and fluffy Saturday night TV show. I know people get annoyed when their favourite doesn't win, but most are sporting enough to admit the competition was a pretty good competitor. There are some here so blinkered though that they can't let go and post with a level of hate. She isn't the only one though.

I suspect there would have been similar levels of angst among some if Susanna had won 4 years ago. People get invested in particular people. Does not mean patronising them is particularly adult either.

My biggest dislike of the age is celebrity culture. I could not give a monkey's what a particular family is doing. To me the obsession with "putting it out there" has as much depth as a pond in a heatwave.

At least Strictly challenges people to do something outside their comfort zone, without being deliberately cruel. Unllike most reality TV shows.

I don't think Ore should be apologising. Bloody hell, loads of 'em do it! He's fit, got a great body and took a selfie, big deal.

I think it's people here that should be apologising to him for all the abusive comments. Ore must be one of the most maligned celebs to appear on Strictly and much of the nastiness is just because he won instead of Danny. A lot of people here need to get over it and grow up.

Gloating is not attractive either.

Apparently he had to apologise because of the anti Ore reaction to his selfie, majority of his supporters loved it but alas the trolls were out in force

A lot of the Danny supporters just can't forgive Ore for winning this year

"The BBC star has become a pin-up thanks to his turn on the show and recently gave fans a thrill by sharing a selfie of his ripped torso.
However, Ore admits he's now embarrassed by the reaction - and insists he only wanted to reveal that he had lost over a stone (14lbs) while performing on the series.
He said: 'Can I apologise for this, genuinely I lost a stone doing strictly and I wanted to show that purely by dancing that was the result, you can dance and you can lose weight and be in great shape.' "

Is the VT not a professional capacity?

I'm recalling that Oti wanted him to do the Rumba shirtless but he insisted on wearing a shirt and then having it sewed shut. I think she only got him to do his open shirt in the samba with a lot of persuading.

I've never seen any purely topless shots on AJ's instagram but I could be wrong.

Because he's claimed to be shy and humble and reserved for weeks and had a "journey" to being confident. Now we see it's utter lies and it was all made up.

Plus, I just generally don't like seeing vain shirtless photos with pants pulled down in a really sleazy way to reveal pubic hair. Very weird for a supposed serious journalist.

It seems those who thought Danny should have won don't like the selfie, fine, they didn't need to look. It's back to 'sprouts' again.”

Actually this has nothing to do with Danny really - I'd have found it sleazy if he'd posted the exact same shirtless shot in a changing room with his pants pulled down to reveal his pubic hair. I think it's sleazy no matter who does it.

But considering Ore pushed the "Oh I'm 'umble me, gov!" it shows that he really does have quite a big ego.

They may have been Claudia fans or even Ore voters. The demographic of many SCD viewers is not obsessed with someone looking like they are chewing a wasp showing pubes. AKA Daily mail readers.

In his defence, Ore's trousers were not draped as low as Greg rutherford's tend to be in his selfies.
Actually, forget that.
Greg doesn't tend to wear trousers in HIS selfies, preferring to flash his abs and much else beside in his underpants

To my fading memory due to old age I do not remember once Ore saying he was shy, nor fighting to being confident... I think you're mixing Louise up with Ore That was her weekly tag line

Regarding being humble, so what if Ore was taken back at the positive comments regarding his dancing, anyone would be.

You'll need to zoom in a really long way to see any pubic hair, if there's any at all
As far as I can see on his Selfie, his jeans were not pulled down, that's where low rise jeans normally sit, if he wanted to expose himself as you claimed he had, he would need to unbuckle his belt and undo his button & zip/buttons.

Me thinks you're is exaggerating a little

I don't remember Ore ever proclaiming to be shy. They all have nerves that's natural. And how does humble preclude you from snapping a selfie?

It's not my thing and the trousers are way too low for my taste but if Greg can take shots in his underpants without a murmur of disgust then I am putting this negativity down to the pitchfork wavers.

That's probably different, for the people complaining because Greg didn't beat their fave. But no, Ore posted a pic with his shirt off so it must be lurid and suggestive and sleazy instead of the same as others do. We won't go into the other reasons why it's maybe different and bad when he does it for some.

Ore never once claimed he was shy - the guy presents live TV for a living, that doesn't lead itself towards being shy but you know what, even if he had, a standard selfie that most people his age takes wouldn't be hypocritical. The fact that he's had to apologise because some pathetic, bitter pearl clutchers were awful is the most upsetting thing about this whole situ.

You're so blinded by righteous indigation that your appointed dancer didn't win that you're getting your dancers mixed up. Claudia, Louise and even Danny all acknowledged that their confidence had grown. IIRC Ore never expressed anything rather than gratitude to Jo and to those who voted for him.
