Long shot....
I have need for a .txt / .csv editor and I remember using one over a year ago that was pretty good.
Unfortunately I can't remember the name of it. It was freeware and I remember one of the coolest features was the advanced find and replace was able to preview the result of the edit should you run it with whatever you were typing into the find/replace fields. The most common lists haven't revealed the solution so it's not CSVed for example or Notepad++ Seem to think this particular feature was in a pane or panel rather than a window. I've even tried rewinding my desktop & downloads history in File History but I think I might have only used the program immediately prior to installing W10 so I don't think I have a very through or continuous history from the 8.1 era (I never used 8). All the manual file copy backups from 13 & 14 I've reduced/deleted for duplication/redundancy. Can anyone suggest anything based on this feature? I know it's a big ask.

I'm lost when it comes to this sort of thing but here is a list just in case you haven't seen it.

Just use MS Excel, or OpenOffice Calc to make *.CSV or *.TXT files.
You can open those files with Notepad, if you wish. They have Find and Replace facilities. |
