Your attempts at trolling are becoming sad and you're repeating yourself, are you winding down for Xmas?

Their discussion's far more amusing than the lights.

I thought it was funny; especially the conversation with the cops.

(The Big Bang Theory's a bunch of poo, btw).

I find this hilarious, but hate The Big Bang Theory. It would give me a smile, nay HUGE GRIN every time I opened my front door if he lived across the street. He could have just said it was Mistletoe, I actually thought it was at first

Hey, I like inappropriate humour but spelling the "C" word in christmas lights outside your house is just attention-seeking twatishness.

The "Bell End" one was funny because it was reasonably clever, but the rest of it wasn't. Obviously in my very humble apparently humourless opinion

He put the word "C" word up previously (and I don't mean Christmas), which is grossly offensive no mater how funny people might think it is. So their tolerance of his new display may have been diminished somewhat. Also, the guy has clearly done it to entice the police (again) and film them this time, so they obviously have 'history' with this chap. Regardless of how funny it might be, it is a public order offence, albeit low level. I can understand why complaints where made, it's not right for small kids to see.

I am sure it is entertaining to some at first glance.

But imagine having to come home and look at that night after night for up to six weeks possibly shining into your house too.

Each to his own - but brings home to me how lucky I am in not living anywhere near such a chav.

It was... for a while... until it wasn't.

That conversation he had was bizarre. He's a bit of an oddball! He had the c word lit up on his house as a Christmas decoration!

I hope the people who complained also complain about that nude dating show. The people bits are real even though they aren't lit up with twinkling lights

It's the sort of job that as a police officer, you'd sarcastically thank the control room for allocating to you. You know that literally everything else going on is far higher priority, yet with this job you've got to go and it has to be resolved in only one way; with the lights being removed, and you know that it's not going to be straight forward. Many people will think that you're wasting your time but the reality is that many will also want it removed, including your higher ranks, and the law is quite clear that it constitutes an offence. You're not going to come out of it a hero either way.

It all comes down to peoples differing levels of tolerance. Mine is higher than most peoples. Personally I wouldn't care if it was on my street nor if my kids saw it, I'd just explain that the person who put them up was some attention seeking buffoon. I'm not going to pretend to my children that people like this don't exist. I'd rather that my kids were aware out what is out there in the world (within reason of course) so that I can demonstrate to them what is right and what is wrong.

Oddly enough I have a Christmas card in my lounge saying "Merry Christmas Bell End" and didn't even consider that the kids might look at it. Queue being asked "Daddy what does bell end mean?

Far from offending the kids, I think they'd be the ones sniggering as it's schoolboy level humour”

Yep. My kids would love that. Especially the Boy.

Worringly I smiled myself at Bell End. But then I am the sort of person who has been known to laugh at silly things, toilet jokes, rude words and Big Bang Theory. I'm also sort of person who still says, "Swivel on it."
