Haha, this sentence caught my attention. What does the dog actually do?
She just goes a bit potty - running around manically sniffing everything - I mean, she's a terrier so is a sniffer and a tracker anyway but in the wind it's like on speed - you couldn't work with her, the nutbag. She gets the zoomies and then stops dead and sniffs the air like a woman possessed and ignores you completely before taking off again on her manic sniffing mission. Considering we're working on her focus and attention on walks we thought today would be a waste of a session because she's doolally atm and would just have selective hearing.

my dog acts weird in the wind so Barbara has already crossed me this morning. All settled down now though.

He gives the 'To be or not to be' speech from Hamlet, but in the style of a drunken Bobcat Goldthwaitt...

Why is there always a storm of some sort over the UK over Xmas? It always seems to happen around this time. You turn on the news and you're guaranteed to hear the phrase "and tonight XX,000 residents in the XXXXX area are still without power over the Christmas holidays."

"Come back November, I'm really missing you."

November just gone has just shown us that blocking north of the UK within just one month of the winter solstice is certainly not a thing of the past.

Always needs help with her lines though. That's why we got the trainer on board to work on the focus and attention.

I'm not missing it. November was a very cold month this year and there were many days where it was still wet and miserable. Alough this December has been very gloomy and cloudy at least it's been milder than November.

Because it's winter?

Went down to local shopping estate today, has been wet and windy as predicted, temp not that cold though, about 8 or 9 degrees here. At one point when I was in ASDA the rain was absolutely drumming on the roof and it drowned out the Christmas music!

Still, much prefer this stormy weather to clear skies and frost any day.

Has got a point though. In recent years there has always seemed to be always some sort of disruption at Christmas, be it floods, power cuts, storms, travel strikes etc. This year we've got two storms and a massive rail strike in the South. Southern Rail are on strike again but our good old reliable friends Northern Rail up here never go on strike. Fares are much cheaper as well.

Still not too bad here, winds nowhere near gusting 40+ like they reckoned, and the rains stopped now.

Is she a Westie by any chance? Because what you describe sounds just like my Westie!

Yes she is indeed a Westie! That really made me laugh. Funny little things.

Hmm, wonder if Westie Wind Syndrome is a thing...

Pretty rough up the north west Scotland and the outer hebrides, Just about all of the 26 ferry routes are cancelled as are many trains but hey its only the yokels up north so not much of a news story there.

Now if the same thing were to happen in that there London or south east it would be virtually 24 hour news coverage

Some of us down here are doing our best to mention it, and have been doing our best all week!

Well the winds have been in the west today. Try her in a strong easterly and see if she does it then.
