Pretty embarrassing if you cant even chart in the top 100 in one of the quieter weeks for new releases etc
So I think this will be her one and only single and we shall hear no more about it. |

The fallout from this will be intriguing.
Will Cowell press ahead and try again with a more "comedy" approach ? Will there be some kind of 'official' statement from Syco that she's been dropped or will she just be quietly let go ? Will she go quietly or will she kick off and blame anyone and everyone for not understanding or appreciating how "real" she is ? |

I wonder if she would have gone into the Top 100 were it not for all of the Christmas songs and George Michael songs.
Next stop CBB. Maybe not this one, but before 2018, deffo. See if she can keep the act up 24/7. |

We do know that Honey G only got a deal for one single, so that deal was completed with the release. Honey G is a free agent again. |

When you think of all the hype and publicity Anna Georgette Gilford got to promote this load of crap ( Simon Cowell literally shoved this woman down our throats - the fake standing ovations on Xfactor, the insincere appraisals and the multi-television appearances all bigging up Ms Gilford's non-existent talent) - then her record flopped so spectacularly! I can't help feeling sorry for her - Cowell and his cronies fed this delusional woman's dreams now they have all come crashing down around her - I know how I would feel if this was me. Cowell thought he was going to make a quick buck out of the novelty value with no thought of this poor sick woman's feelings. I wonder if Sharon Osborne and Robbie Williams are still smirking behind "the Gangster Lady's" back! The sooner the Xfactor has gone from our screens the better.

He needs to cut his losses, bin her off and pretend she never happened. Her 'my career in recruitment is over' spiel sounds a bit hollow now |

Cowell sacrificed so many great acts for her and it was just one of many reasons people are switching off. s.

So £6000 revenue or thereabouts, about £4000 to the label, which just about covers catering for the video shoot.
If she got an advance, she now has a big debt problem. |

This is the harshest thing I've read from Music Week.
When I say Honey, you say, Who?: Traditionally, The X Factor winner's coronation single is the only release by one of the latest series' contestants to be released in the year of the competition, though some runners-up and other notables have had releases fairly soon afterwards; with the February 2010 release of 2009 sixth placed act Jedward's debut hit Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby) being the speediest hitherto and maximising the limited mileage available from the output of the terrible twins by reaching No.2. You'd think that the most likely 2016 X Factor contestant to be fast-tracked for release after Terry would be Finnish songthrush Saara Aalto, who finished runner-up and has a large following but in a bizarre Emperor's New Clothes scenario which saw X Factor judges celebrating her mediocrity with rave reviews and standing ovations, the charmed Honey G – 35-year-old wannabe rapper and musical magpie Anna Gilford - was instead snapped up by Simon Cowell's Simco for her self-aggrandising debut single The Honey G Show. Showing that even a master tactician like Cowell can sometimes misjudge the lie of the land, the track - released less than two weeks after Terry's - limps onto the chart at No.149 (6,451 sales). |

It isn't very good novelty record. I think this will be her only release and would be surprised if it makes the top 100

Cowell has definitely misjudged the public on this one - disastrously so.
The weekly standing ovations, the seemingly preferential treatment from the production team and the rather unprecedented appearance on the final show to promote the rush release of the single seem to have all been designed to push her in to the mainstream as an artist. Considering the fact she'll have had to go through three or four audition stages in front of producers before getting in front of the judges, they must have flagged her up to him as a potential novelty act and he's taken it upon himself to try to create a new "Ali G"-type character, even though she clearly doesn't see herself as a "character" in that respect. I suspect she'll likely go back to releasing her own stuff again after this, although if you look at her twitter feed, she does seem to be fairly in demand for nightclub P.A's, so she may well end up earning enough from that to fund another proper single release. |

It's just a shame that X Factor has deteriorated from 2008 to what we've had more or less these last two years. |

To be fair....it's 35 on sales. Which isn't a complete shambles, not great but in this post-streaming age things tend to chart low and then peak later although I doubt that will happen with this record.
It did sell 6,000 copies....The streaming for XMas songs was huge last week so it's all overcrowded right now but that is the real picture. She may not have done as well as Jedward debut but it's not a disaster. However, there will be no album now unless she crowd funds which I think she wil or gets support from a smaller label. Cowell won't even take her calls from today onwards, it really is that simple. She'll now pursue other avenues for her Honey G brand...I think she'll pop up on a reality show or two for sure. But I did expect it to storm to the Top 10 at least being a XF fan and all. |
