I'm away for Christmas, but went out about 10 pm last night (22nd) to get a few things for when I get back. The local Morrisons is open until midnight most of this week, and I was curious to see how many people would be out at the time. Whole families, including young kids were there. I though it would just be me and the usual oddballs out at that time.
It was far less busy than it's been during the daytime this week, but enough visitors to make it worthwhile being open I'd say. I totally forgot to get any Christmas cards (I'd meant to get them on Monday) while I was there. I had to make an emergency trip out about 16:30 this afternoon, with just half an hour before the local card shop was closing. Still, better than last year when I bought them on Christmas Eve...
I managed to fill up the car at the supermarket too without having to queue, which was nice. Last year I ended up queuing for ages when I decided I'd be OK filling up on Christmas Eve before my trip back to my home town. That and stopping off in town to buy Christmas cards meant I didn't end up getting there until nearly 22:00.
