In 2017 people will still put forward the argument that Hillary won the popular vote as if it means anything at all.

The negative effects of the Brexit vote will continue to be a far cry from the predictions of the remain campaign and the foretold economic Armageddon will be revised down in severity again and pushed further into the future from 2017 to 2018. Any economic bad news will however continue to be blamed on Brexit regardless of other causes and all economic good news dismissed as we have not left the EU yet.
Prospects for 2017? The misguided fools who voted for Brexit will continue to be haunted by their folly and ever-anxious to blame everybody else for the consequences of their actions. The splits and wounds that have overtaken the UK will not heal, unaided by the cold indifference of the Tories and the May government. And Trump? I really don't know. Will he be ring-fenced by more stable people? Will he contine to blabber on the Internet? How long before he really does serious damage? Will he lead us into war? Who knows.

The Tory's will continue to sell off anything not nailed down to their mates who will then rip off the public and pocket the profits.
(Dis)May and the 3 muppets will make a complete Horlicks of Brexit.
Trump will do something sensible at some point.
Liverpool will win something (I hope).

Spice Girls will reform.
Presumably they will now qualify for funding under the foreign aid budget as Mel B and Posh live abroad?

The Lords refuses to ratify article 50 and we have a snap general election in May on who runs Britain. Pro Brexit forces win with a 200 seat majority and the Lords is abolished and replaced by an elected second chamber.

Merkel remains German Chancellor after the Federal elections next autumn

The Dutch freedom party tops the vote in the Dutch general election but all the other parties form a coalition to keep it out of office.

FIllon becomes French President but is run close by Le Pen due to his Thatcherite polices and

The Lib Dems get wound up due to (moral) bankruptcy but keep one seat in Richmond park in the general election. The new third runway at Heathrow is then built in the constituency in the park.

The chances of a Happy New Year would seem minimal then.

Trump to resign? He could rapidly lose interest in the job and hand over to Mike Pence or be forced out.

Trump visits the UK and is surprised to find that May and not Farage is the prime minister of the UK
Farage moves to the US, dosen't get a job with Trump after Trump realises he hasn't got any power. Farage goes to work for Fox news instead who love him.
Soft brexit become increasingly more likely to happen
Lots of protests by brexiters who are unhappy that leaving the EU didn't mean what they thought it did

And handing over to Pence is a good thing?!

Be careful what you wish for all those people wishing/hoping for a Trump impeachment!

Chris Jericho knows what "it" is, so maybe you should ask him!

I've just realised we don't pay tax for our burial plots.
Surely the Tories can come up with an annual grave tax so we still keep paying after we're six feet under.

2017 here we come!

Maybe an assassination attempt on Trump.

1) Jeremy Corbyn will be attacked and killed by a moslem fanatic. Oh the irony ......

2) Donald Trump will thump Putin at an international summit. Well come on all you Hillary fans you know you want it to happen

3) Paul Nuttel doesn't do anything much which will be a shame for all you UKIP bashers

4) Prince Charles dies. Boy what a morbid thread ............
You meant to say Muslim I think . But in actual fact it would be an Isis fanatic as the majority of Muslims think Isis are *****

I'm am very surprised Obama made it to the end of an 8 year run. I wonder how many plots and nutters the secret service intercepted?

Muslim or moslem, the poster said fanatic so made it clear they weren't talking about peaceful adherents of any religion.
For instance, if they had said Corbyn will be attacked by a Christian, rather than Christian fanatic, an objection such as yours would have some merit.
And, in case, ISIS are not the only branch of Muslim fanatics - there are those like the one who killed the Ahmadiyya shopkeeper in Glasgow.

You make that prediction for nearly any US President but I suspect if he doesn't see the term out, it will be for other reasons. Given how controversial and radical he is, the latter outcome would not be a surprise.
