The Army Game on Forces TV
I caught William Hartnell in some episodes of this old b/w sitcom today
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Army_Game Two other members of the regular cast were Bernard Bresslaw (Varga in The Ice Warriors) and Bill Fraser (General Grugger in Meglos and Commander Pollock in K9 and Company) |

I vaguely remember this on TV but have a clearer recollection of 'Bootsie and Snudge' which was a spin off featuring the characters of Alfie Bass and Bill Fraser

For some reason they keep showing the same three episodes.
It can't be a question of availability as all 50 (or thereabouts) remaining episodes (out of an original 154) are out on DVD |

Forces TV is really interesting! They're showing some quite unusual stuff, and I had missed that The Army Game is getting an airing.
Also worth watching out for: Get Some In (Tony Selby) and the outstanding drama Danger UXB (featuring Debbie Watling and Iain Cuthbertson in major roles). |

It's a bit weird that they are also showing Nicholas Lyndhurst's sitcoms Goodnight Sweetheart and The Piglet Files. I suppose there's a borderline case to be made for GS as it's set during WWII but TPF is about spies
