IIRC, there WAS a showing of Robocop on ITV on a Saturday afternoon in the mid-90's. Unsurprisingly it was cut to bits with a lot of the scenes slowed down to make it a feature length showing.

I think it was channel 5 who put The Dirty Dozen on one Sunday afternoon
Just checked and its on Dave this coming Sunday at 5pm too. A group of sociopaths, psychopaths and sexual degenerates indulging in wanton violence and sadism. Perfect family viewing! |

I remember watching Police Academy on ITV, many years ago, which was...interesting. Many scenes and lines were cut, including the very funny Lusard blowjob (although oddly, the Mahoney one at the end wasn't, which without the Lusard one made no sense), the topless beach party, the Blue Oyster bar, the dog humping, talk of 'johnsons' and much more.

I think I saw the extremely heavily cut ITV afternoon version of Robocop before the uncut version and was staggered at how much more violent it actually was than I thought it was, it was like watching an entirely different movie.
