I am too KK - would love a boyfriend that good looking. There isn't one hiding where the presents are sadly, as they're small boxes.

Dot and Phil, two soap legends, sharing a scene together, loved it.

Phil should of played the part of Scrooge not Patrick.

And does Derek think Patrick fancies him.

The foundations are laid and brewing up to a brilliant Christmas episode. I have to say tonight it had a fine balance with the humour and drama. I for one enjoyed the play stuff and they all did what they could. Linda got them motiviated and Derek delivered.

The scenes with Derek and Patrick were brilliant and Patrick being a lovely man let Derek stay for Christmas. I think Ian Lavender's return has paid off and he's been worth it having him back on the show. A good connection and good chemistry with the two characters / actors. Nice to have a mention of Paul too.

Phil - I do agree he is feeling sorry for himself, but he knows that the end is in sight. I do foresee a shock, but he knows that the end is nigh. The scenes with him and Dot were gold - she did tell him, he needs to fight on and stop being sorry. It'll be interesting how this turns. Sharon was right to stand up and tell him.

As for myLee - kudos he told the truth to his Dad, but his lies are catching up with him. I knew someone would cotton on about the VR headset being sold, and what if this Craig catches on that Lee has stolen it? I also think Lee has dug himself an ever deeper hole.

9/10 - best of the week so far.

I genuinely dont get the " Lee is sexy " at all

All I see is a slightly gormless stooped man with a bit of a squint in his eye and no sex appeal at all .??

Me neither, to be honest. He's not ugly but he's not cream-yourself worthy

So have I, apart from Monday's sick-fest.

Great episode tonight, the balance between comedy and drama at the moment in EE is outstanding.

Awww, I liked the father-son moments between Phil and Ben, and of course, moreover, Lee and Mick.

The Walford Panto was good. Seeing everyone together [and also out of their norm] for a change.

Phil and Dot. It's been a long, long time since these two spoke! Dot can just take whatever sarcastic remark he throws at her. I love it.

Aww, Patrick. Nice to see him in high spirits again.

God Lee. You better return that gift...

Yeah, Phil, please be a surprise death.

Wonder if the writers would make Louise and Becca a couple? They seem pretty close

Being in a couple doesn't mean they'd have sex. People under 16 are allowed to have gay/lesbian relationships just like straight poeple can have boyfriends/girlfriends when they are 15.

I love the old fashioned community feel of the show that SOC has brought back to the show recently.

No car crashes, explosions, murders or ridiculous gangster cobblers (usually involving King Weeble) - just excellent and plausible character interaction between many of the show's finest actors.

The scenes between Derek and Patrick, Mick and Lee, Dot and King Weeble - all superb stuff.

Dot in particular - I just loved her bluntly stating a few home truths - no one ever does to the Philth (apart from Jay).

Well said Linda about the NHS - a bot of social commentary never went amiss in Walford.

Plus her appalling cooking (although I would not mind a taste of Linda's pie).

Plus a bit of Madness in the play!

Christmas in the square is going to be enthralling viewing.

Well done SOC.
