Here's hoping this thread is busier next week. As more people settle in to watch The Voice.

Did all the contestants that completed the course get through? Always find it a bit off that you can get one heat where non-finishers get through and another heat where some finish but don't make the top ten.

Some fast times in this heat, but we've still yet to see some of the usual parkour guys that breeze through the course.

Wish they could do away with Chris Kamara - he serves no purpose in this at all.

Yes, all those that completed the course got through

Chris is just a foil for Ben. I fit was just Ben commentating it would be boring....

Looks like it. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's the 50(?) furthest fastest across all of the heats that make it to the semi finals?

I have just seen this. Its good to have a show which the whole family of any age, can sit down and enjoy together, there are not too many.

I am enjoying this a little less as it goes on though. You notice a real difference with the U.S and Japanese Ninja Warrior shows to ours though.

On their shows, almost ever contestant is fully committed to doing the best that they can, the odd one still goes early too. But on ours, there are more and more joke contestants.

Two or three a show are fine and it needs contestants of all ages and sizes. But the fancy dress part really doesn't appeal to me, especially when the contestants are still intent on doing well. The first guy to complete did so in a sumo costume, the second in a high viz jacket and plenty of others in daft costumes.

Maybe others enjoy that more, but I would much rather watch contestants having a laugh but committed to it, than some places being used up by those not too bothered about completing the course.

The introduction always spoils it by showing a number of people who complete or fail the course. Would be better without the long starting trailer showing us what we are about to see.

They did that before an adverts break too, showed a couple of contestants falling in the water in the trailer, then showed the same clips after the break.
