I have to say I really think Phil might go. Reading an interview with Steve he spoke about the past saying how he really enjoyed the last 30 years with EastEnders. Its like saying he is going. Also with Steves partner given birth this year I'm sure he will want to spend more time with his baby, As for the massive rumour Michelle coming back its a huge gamble with a recast but who knows. It might work might not see what happens.

P.S Steve is such a gifted actor he will be a huge loss to the show but can understand his reasons if he does leave.

If he does leave, then it'll probably only be for a year or two. Raise his baby and come back in a few years when things have settled.

But I doubt it, McFadden seems very dedicated to his job and enjoys the daily routine of working. I don't see him leaving. There's more chance of aliens invading the planet.
