EE: Was the guy at the end of the episode a New Character?

The guy speaking to Lee seemed to be a new character does anyone know if this can be confirmed?

I thought he was Gus the Binman at first.

Like so many of the recent additions you can't be sure. Could be another of these recurring characters that just plays in the background to try and add a little realism.
Very unusual way of introducing a new character if he is to be a regular.

I thought it was great how he was introduced completely casually with no fanfare.

An article confirmed it was a one-episode-only appearance

In the 00's some characters were introduced similarly to how he was.

It was too random really for a new character. Soaps always want new characters to make a big impact, its usually the only way they can actually introduce a character so the viewer sits up and takes notice.

Many people watching EE tonight probably didn't even take notice of this scene because I think it was just done to show that Lee had stolen something and showing his desperation to make money.

Not really, I remember Carol and Bianca Jackson (HUGE characters in the 90s) just randomly appeared one day as if they been on the square for ages.

I do agree though, in this case he was just a plot device regarding Lee's stolen parcel. Nice looking guy though!

Pretty sure it was a one-off - nice to see someone living in the Square but not part of EE - do people seriously think that ALL of the residences NOT occupied by characters are empty?

I assume the reason Lee was sneaking out of the pawn shop was because he had pawned the blokes VR headset that had been mistakenly delivered to Lee and Whitney's flat?

Shame would have been good
