Where does it come from? Why does she think that Lee is supposed to "provide" for her in the way she clearly does? What is she bringing to the party exactly other than a few shifts in the family boozer?

She's hardly a captain of industry yet seems to think she can spend money Lee doesn't have and has no understanding of the reality of money.

She seems to make big decisions without him such as hosting the Xmas lunch in their rabbit hutch sized flat.

Lee doesn't object, so I don't see a problem, until he is honest with her, she has no reason to doubt him. He is always fobbing her off. He seems so insecure, that if she was out working & earning more money than he was, he would go further into this depression.

She thinks Lee works in some high paid office job in the city. Probably thinks they're rolling in money.

How can she think that Lee has gone from being an army reject who works in a bar part time to having a high flying job in the city making loads of money? And doesn't she ask him how much he earns? Don't they have a bank account she has access to?

She is dense and lazy.

She's being performed as too ditzy at the moment. I preferred her when she was streetwise and quite cynical.

She is believing her man. Lots of women belive what their men tell them. Lots of relationships are like that. It is easier to belive a fairy tale than to confront him.

Why don't Whitney go out into the real world to get a proper job Inseasd of the odd shift working at the protected family Vic?

Then she'll know how Lee feels ! It's a dog eat dog world !

He wasn't an army reject.

I think tho that you will find that ex army can do quite well career wise after leaving. Wasn't Lee bomb disposal or something like that? The attributes needed to do that will be things that employers like

Yes she's in love wanting to play at being a happily married newlywed for a while but why shouldn't she want that like every other young girl just married? She has no idea Lee's not been honest with her so her head's still in the clouds and she'll come down to earth with a hard bump soon enough..

Yes, I agree with you.

I think she is starting to realise lately that there is something not quite right.

Total throwback behaviour. Can she not got another job instead of swanning around spending Lee's apparent millions

It all stems from the (pretty bad) writing of Lee telling everyone that, without qualifications, he has an amazing and well paid but unspecified city job (good enough to have his own private office and PA) yet at the same time, a job that nobody has ever bothered to ask him what exactly he does, what company he works for, how on earth he managed to get such a job etc.

So from this bad writing, all the characters are written to believe that Lee has a very well paid but vague job (inexplicably) and that's why Whitney is acting like lady of the manor. But the whole thing is just unlike anything anybody would behave like in real life.
