You'd think Johnny at least would have asked about the nature of the job. Whit and his parents know nothing but bar work but you'd think J would smell a rat.

She is dense and lazy.”

Fully agree
adding Thick as thick, selfish as selfish can be,
I am tired of looking at her face, It has become intolerably boring
In a way a pair made for each other

It will be interesting to see where they sit down for dinner will they all sit on the bed or what, I don't know how much they are paying for that flat which is essentially a bedsit rather than a proper flat, can you imagine after they have scoffed their turkey stuffing and sprouts, we all know what effect sprouts and stuffing have on the average digestive system in such a confined space it's going to get a bit ripe in there to say the least.

Whitney wants to invite her in-laws over for Christmas lunch and cook for them. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't get how Whitney is in the wrong here. Her now husband is lying to her, but she's not supposed to trust him? He's making up stories, her only fault is believing him, which I think is essential in a marriage. Trust and honesty.

She's a bit of a mug for not having figured out Lee's lies by now. The fact she didn't read the signs when she showed up outside that depressing grey office block and fell for the line that Osman was his staff (casually dressed) said it all.

His parents are stupid too for not figuring this out. Lee only just told Mick yesterday and even then, he didn't seem to question the salary, how he could afford the flat, etc

Surprised that Johnny or Shirley haven't worked it out either. Nancy would've probably found out before anyone else.

Overall though I find Whitney housewife thingy a bit annoying but she's not in the wrong. Lee is lying, he set up a burglary in his parents' house and seems to have stolen a present from that new neighbour.

I don't get the hate for her either. She's a bit thick, yes, but I don't see how she's demanding anything? As far as she's aware there are no money issues. Lee is in the wrong for being a lying, thieving scumbag - no amount of depression is an excuse for some of the things he's done.

So from this bad writing, all the characters are written to believe that Lee has a very well paid but vague job (inexplicably) and that's why Whitney is acting like lady of the manor. But the whole thing is just unlike anything anybody would behave like in real life.”

Yep. Typical ridiculous soap writing where no one questions how he managed to get a well paid City job with no qualifications, experience or industry knowledge. And no one has ever asked who he works for, what he actually does, where abouts in 'The City' he works etc

For someone who had the upbringing Whitney did with financial hardship etc I am surprised she is behaving the way she is, one step away from being a kept woman dependent on her man. I would have thought after seeing all Bianca went through she would want more financial independence for her own peace of mind and security. Instead she seems locked in this fantasy fairytale bubble. It might be some sort of subconscious reaction to behave like that as a reaction to the terrible things she has been through which essentially stole her childhood and teenage years which should have been a time of innocence and believing in fairytales. I don't think she deserves hate for it, more understanding of the bigger picture here.

Even if Lee did have a well paid job who does she think she is spending money like water. She's getting right on my nerves lately.

I can understand Whit living inside her (in love) bubble, but I don't understand Lees family. Ok, the parents maybe, but Johnnie is going to uni to be a lawyer, so apparently is supposed to have a brain, yet he says nothing??? Asks no questions??

She should go back on the game and bring some money in.
