Sky Q - particularly the iPhone App
To me it feels so limited.
So many programmes can't be downloaded to iPhone. No option to stream videos you've taken with your phone to SkyQ, audio only. IPlayer streaming audio only Purchased video files from iPhone, no option to stream at all Netflix streaming from phone to SkyQ audio only All this combined with the fragility of the system (error messages, regular reboots required etc) and its starting to feel to me like a real missed opportunity. |

Sky only ever advertised Airplay audio support, so no surprise you can't share videos to it. The licensing fees from Apple are pretty high which makes including it on every Q box unviable.
Which programmes can't you download? I find I can transfer almost anything, as long as it's not on BBC. |

Audio support on its own is utterly pointless.

Apple doesn't appear to license Airplay video support to anyone - they seem to prefer pushing the Apply TV as a solution.
Personally, I'd have preferred the Q box to offer Chromecast support - at least that's a cross platform solution. |
