EE- Martin and Derek Question
Mr Moriarty
23-12-2016
This is Perhaps a very random question, but does anyone remember what episode it was in which Martin and Derek reunited/met up again for the first time?

Ah, ok- so maybe it just happened off screen?
Shame, as I was a consistent viewer of ee back in those days and was a wee bit interested in seeing the two reunite.

Derek's return has been completely bizarre and random.

No, you're right mate. It did happen on screen. It was a scene in the community centre, can't remember which episode, but it was the first rehearsal of the play. Derek apologised for not attending Pauline's funeral and Martin thanked him for sending flowers. A nice touch, I thought. It was also funny because he discovered Martin was now married to Stacey Slater, who he knew from his first stint.

I sort of hope the ten year anniversary of Pauline's death is recognised on Xmas Day.

Ah kl - will try and track the scene down.
Stopped watching ee full time in 2012 and just occasionally pop in now, though have been watching more consistently since about august - like what I have seen in general of it recently in terms of recurring/minor characters and community focus and storyline balance.

it's even more random that they seem to be pointing towards Derek making a pass at Patrick

seems Patrick is a babe magnet for the male and female saga members of the cast

Yeah they just hugged and seemed pleased to see each other. They didn't make it a big deal.

It was a nice reunion, they hugged, although it was a bit belated. Seems a bit weird they hadn't crossed paths until recently when Martin is on the stall every day and Derek's constantly in the square.

Pretty sure it will if the ending of tonight's episode is what we have been led to believe - otherwise it will be a big faux pas not mentioning it in light of this potential ending.
