I have just bought a Panasonic Viera TV from a friend and on connecting our satellite cable it says "no signal". It doesn't seem to recognise the satellite is connected. Our old Panasonic Veira TV worked fine with freesat. (I think my friend used Sky Tv as his satellite connection.) When I press the "TV" button on the remote the only option that appears is DVB. What am I doing wrong and how can I get freesat? HELP

Have you tried doing a full factory reset?
Are there any DVB-S/freesat tuning options in the menus?

You need to go in to the setup menu, into display settings then in to a section called labels (or similar). In there you will see a list of the various sources the TV can use (HDMI 1/2/3, AV, DVB & FREESAT). The freesat option is probably down as "Skip" which means the last owner didn't use it so hid it from the list of options. Change this back to freesat and then you can access it via the "TV" button where you'll now have DVB & Freesat listed as options.
Once there go in to the menus and tune it in.

Many thanks, we now have freesat. Merry Christmas
