I haven't left the County or the Country this year!......been housebound waiting for and getting over a hip replacement operation, and!........ I am getting pretty fed up with it all now!.....

I am hoping for better things in 2017,, a trip to my favourite Greek Island Lesvos or maybe even my favourite English Island... The fabulous Isle of Wight......

Was it difficult to get a visa for?

As for me, in February I visited Luxembourg.

I did, but I needed a visa, as my bathroom hasn't signed the Schengen Agreement.

But I did visit Luton. That's pretty much like going abroad these days. It's a game of spot the white British born person. A bit like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Don't like the idea of going abroad. If I want to look at people from other countries I can always go down to London for the day.

Hardly. Luton is about 50% white. In any case I don't know how you'd tell whether a white person is British-born or not!

A fairly large proportion of the white population are Irish or Eastern European, i.e. not British.

And my post was rather tongue in cheek, as I live in Luton anyway.

Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Ireland, USA, Hong Kong and Australia. Not bad considering I had never flown or been out of the country (as an adult) before the start of the year.

Ha ha. Nah, I don't live near the airport and I doubt Lorraine has ever lived here either.
