Saturday Kitchen
Watching Saturday Kitchen this Christmas Eve with John Torode what a mess the ice cream was melted from the bowl to the plate. The puddings looked undercooked how embarrassing for a judge who hosts Master Chef. Never been the same since James Martin left. Has John had his teeth cleaned too much.

Hmmm... I sort of!, half remember what you are talking about with the ice cream but cant say I was really concentrating at that time!..... But I do have to say!.....' I think John is the absolute best replacement for James Martin on this show!...' He is really good at doing 'live' .... Some of the other replacements I feel are dire and I don't bother watching most of them!...... (Especially the two Italians)..my god they are extra dire!!!..... There is one other younger bloke who does it well but I don't know what his name is!,(he's not well known enough yet I fear!..)...
Sorry not really commenting on your original thoughts op but just felt like adding my two'pennath!.... |

The Christmas weekday version was a mess more like. Every show featured a bake off cast off and old video footage from the stone ages. Crap idle chit chat also.
The guests sit there like they're being held hostage also. |

The guests sit there like they're being held hostage also. I watched Christmas Kitchen this week and do not recognise any of this. There was only one failure in the Yule Decide competition, in the fryer where it fell apart, but recovered in a different dish. No others seen. The guests fully contributed and enjoyed it, not held hostage that description it's totally inaccurate. For example Amanda Abbigdon ( Sherlock) clearly enjoyed the special vegetation food whilst taking interest in the meat creations. David Haig clearly enjoyed it, the bake off contestants were interesting with their small items including Andrew and his recommendations for spreadsheets cancelled out the next day by going with the flow. Andrew Martha and Selasi are clearly NOT cast offs but popular contestants who did very well. Some VTs were old like Delia Smith, for a reason, they linked in, but also things like Nigel Slater are bang up to date. |

The show is now going down the same road as HIGNFY where instead of a different guest host each time, you've basically got about half a dozen who take it in turns every 1-2 months. |

Time to kill the programme off, it's well past its sell-by date.
