He looked genuinely sad when Simon kinda shunned his dad's present he wasn't gloating or seemed smug.. I think he just wanted to make Simon happy.

I don't think he likes the closeness of Peter and Leanne, but I find that totally understandable... it is odd how they are suddenly besties after their history..

Who cares what Peter thinks. Nick shouldn't have to pander to his feelings.
