Does anyone remember this game from the mid-2000s? I remember playing it about 9 years ago but I never completed it... until this year when I got my hands on a PC copy. It is genuinely one of the most enjoyable games I've ever played. Anyone else remember it?

I wish they'd make a sequel or even for there to be a remastering for the more modern consoles. I set up this petition for it to be made possible: https://www.change.org/p/ea-games-de...mpsons-hit-run

Still the best Simpsons game to date. I also bought it for PC recently, but haven't gotten round to playing it yet. Would be cool if there was some mods to give the game a new lease of life!

A sequel would be great. Imagine how great Springfield could look now with the advancements of graphics and tech since 2003.

I had this game on PC, I think I remember it coming on 3x CD Roms

Then when I got an Xbox 360 purchased the Original Xbox version which was playable on the 360.

It was such a a great game, had high hopes for The Simpsons Game when what was released for what was then Next Gen consoles but it just wasn't the same, would love to see an updated version, but does the Simpsons have enough of a following these days?

Hard to believe it's still producing new episodes, I haven't watched them for a while as they had got terrible.

At the time it came out it was just dismissed as a standard Simpson cash-in/GTA clone however it's actually quite well regarded today.

I was about 13 or so when it came out and my parents were the type that wouldn't let me play GTA until I was 18 so for me this was a totally new and cool experience and even today still holds up beautifully.

Genuinely might be in my top 10 favourite games of all time to be honest.

Unfortunately it's unlikely we'll ever see a remaster or even a port - the developer, Radical Entertainment, shut down in 2012 after Prototype 1 and 2 sold poorly.

A great game though.

You made a thread with a petition about this game 4 years ago......maybe it's time to let it go.

I loved the game too and i would love a sequel but under EA it is never going to happen.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembered.

OP was also given many technical and logical reasons as to why it wouldn't happen back then, too. As well as why a petition wouldn't change anything.

Speaking of, I think it's a bit off using a platform such as change.org for something as trivial as this. Let it go, OP.

I don't own it myself but I've played it a couple of times with friends. It's good fun. Wonder if the PC version is available anywhere and would it work on Windows 7?

I was playing it on 10 so I'm sure it will work on 7 you just have fiddle with compatibility mode, I think it was windows 98 that did the trick. It will also default to 640x480, and will give DX errors if you've installed it another drive other than your main one.

For reference, here's the original thread by the OP from 2012. Same arguments apply:
