Blimey, what an audience. Were they imported from America?

Never seen so much crying since Ed Balls got booted off Strictly.

Some people get emotional with certain songs.

Jerusalem gets me.

I don't know, I think it's some kind of cult.

Was that the same one that was on Sky Arts a few days back (he asks the girl if he can help "remove" the snow.)?

Some of the more telegenic, suspiciously 'diverse' audience members were so animated they came across as performers rather than spectators. I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't hired from some specialist agency. The whole thing was so false and staged.

He's the modern equivalent of Liberace. Sickly sentimental.

Not my cup of tea, but watched it with my mum who really likes him.

I agree completely - the close ups of audience hysterics was beyond belief and ruined the show for me. I'd expect that from a bunch of teenage girls at a justin bieber gig, but it was disturbing to watch a mature audience acting like that over a classical music concert.

I didn't watch this as it's not my cup of tea at all and I am an older lady. I just find it boring but the audience crying, really?

All AR concerts have crying, obviously they pick out a few & edit them in. Sky arts show his stuff endlessly.

André Rieu or James Last, subjects for hysteria amongst the masses they attract.

A 'kind' relative, a year or so back and knowing I like classical music gave me a DVD/CD of AR's music. What!????
Anyway, a few weeks later I dipped into it and found, of its type, that it was quite an enjoyable spectacle, recorded in this case in Maastricht.
Classical music of course, it ain't.

It's not my cup of tea this sort of music but I did watch it and enjoyed it but hey!...... There was some weird people there!... I too was shocked with all the crying!.... (What's that all about?)..hahaha.... also the middle aged women gazing lovingly into their partners eyes asif they wanted to snog them there and then!!!!.... Weird with a CAPITOL.... W........ But I tell you what I did really enjoy was the German marching music, it reminded me of old war films that used to be on the tv years ago, not very patriotic of me but I did really enjoy it......

Pretty much my thoughts. Having watched a few numbers I decided it was like Mantovani, light orchestral - cascading strings.

Not classical - but, hey, if he's giving pleasure to so many I'll not knock it ....
