Anyone else fed up with this.

We've had two enormous life changing events. Brexit / Trump.

Nobody knows how it will turn out, Yet we're being preached to about how terrible it is to the point of ridiculousness.

We had a fantastic Olympic performance we can all be proud of for instance.

People need to get a grip.

I doubt they'll be life changing for me.

It's been a fun year on this forum. Brexit, Trump and Labour eating itself has been very entertaining

Oh and in March I put £30 on Theresa May for next leader of the Tory party @ 9/1

People only express what they feel, and frankly don't give a shit if that irritates the OP.

Trump / Brexit does mean regression, appealing to people's most base and crass fears and prejudices; the latter calamity will probably screw up our economy.
And that is sad. It has made 2016 a horrid year.

There hasn't been a big change between the Americans who voted in Obama last time and those that voted in Trump this time. The people who voted Brexit have had that point of view for some time.

To think that there has been a significant change is wrong, America moved by a small percentage and those in the UK finally had a chance to express their opinion. As someone who voted remain I feel embarrassed every time someone goes all Godwins because the vote(s) didn't go our way.

2016 was an interesting year, but to those who're whining about it in relation to Brexit and Trump I've got some bad news - we're still in the EU and Trump isn't in the Whitehouse yet so god only knows how you'll reflect on 2017 this time next year.

Merry xmas

2016:

David Bowie, Terry Wogan, Muhammad Ali & Victoria Wood all died. The nation was was more divided than it has been in my lifetime over Brexit, and America voted as President a reality TV star with no political experience, who has boasted about sexually assaulting women, and who has in the last few days said "let their be another nuclear arms race".

It's the assumption that all reasonable people agree with them that 2016 has been crap that is irritating.

Apparently we are assuming we are being reasonable not being into May, Brexit and Arms Race Trump... which is nonsense... we know as a fact we're being reasonable.

2016 was fantastic! Brexit and all the economic uncertainanty it will bring will be wonderful, Trump and his selection of rich businesmen, racism, finger on the nuclear button and friendship with Putin can only be good for the world, and May and her bunch of clueless clowns only spell greatness for the UK.

Hooray for 2016!

We lost David Bowie, David Gest, Victoria Wood, Caroline Aherne, Terry Wogan, Andrew Sacks, Prince, Mohamed Ali, Pete Burns and others who I cannot remember the name of. There's been a terrorist attack in Brussels, several in France, a few in Germany, unrest in America. Murder of a well loved politician in the UK. Aleppo being bombed to nothing. The refugee crises that our so called intelligent leaders made worse with David Cameron helping causing it by refusing for all European countries help by taking in people instead of loosing control of the whereabouts of refugees and Isis terrorists.

Trump isn't going to affect me. So I'm sorry for whinging. I should see the delight of innocent people loosing their lives at the German market
