BBC1, Cruising For Your Enjoyment!
I've just realised what light entertainment shows on BBC1 have become, it's those acts that appear on cruises.
Also the later years of holiday camps when only OAPs were going to them. For comparison, BBC1 light ent used to be more "music hall"/"vaudeville style", accessible to a wide range of ages. |

Also the later years of holiday camps when only OAPs were going to them. For comparison, BBC1 light ent used to be more "music hall"/"vaudeville style", accessible to a wide range of ages. An example Disney Cruiseline has full Broadway style productions like Aladdin and Frozen, and Tangled. Most cruiselines now have all ages on them, from children in kids clubs to adults and grandparents, they are not OAPs only, and Not holiday camp style. I think from your thread and your intended thoughts, you actually have made a massive mistake comparing to a cruise line. Clearly you haven't been on a cruise and have misconceptions from "jokes" and " antidotes " not real life. If BBC1 puts on Broadway style Cruise line entertainment they are doing very well to a family audience. |
