I can't tell you how much this news has affected my whole Christmas.

Well, actually I can: Not in any way whatsoever!

Well there could be an ISIS terrorist among the crowd.

Better to be safe than sorry Ma'am.

I'm not going to church either. I'm over my cold though so no need to worry.

I don't blame her. She's 90 years old for God's sake.

Give her a break.

When I have cold I never go out. So good on the Queen for staying indoors.

Get well soon, Ma'am.

Well I hope she's keeping out of the way and not giving other people her cold.

They should have a stand-in queen lookalike for emergencies such as this.

Haha.

I do wish people would grasp that simple fact. At 90 with a 95 year husband they are going to start missing public events.

When my gran was 75 she missed the Christmas doo and later on a few barbeques just because she wasn't well.

To all those who profess to no feelings about the Queens illness-if a work colleague said thier Grandmother, who you'd never met, was too ill to go to Church, would tell them you didn't give a f**k about her? It's still a 90 year old woman, and I hope she recovers, just as I hope EVERBODY who is ill has a speedy recovery.

I see young Prince George has been dressed in short trousers and frock coat as if it is the 1940s

I wouldn't care any more or less about the Queen than I would anybody else I've never met or know.

It's not her fault she was born to be Queen even though I think we should put an end to the monarchy. She's very old and a heavy cold (that lots of people have I should add) will be horrible. She must be feeling very unwell to miss Christmas church and I believe her speech too. I hope everyone who's got this cold has a speedy recovery including the Royals.

She filmed the speech weeks ago
