I watched that one episode after it was put on their website, and watched it about a year ago and dont remember it well. I wasn't even born in the 80s! Lol

Sounds good. I hope it lives up to the previous two hander EastEnders did with Michelle and Sharon. It's still my favourite eppy of EE out of all of them.

I hope it's not too sickly sentimental and that Sharon mentions her bullying son, drug addiction and murdering father.

I get Denny the bullying son but Sharon had a drug addiction and a murdering father?

Sharon was addicted to painkillers when she returned the last time - and Gavin Sullivan (Sharon's dad) killed his sister and tried to kill Kathy (plus probably has a very dodgy past)

She was addicted to pain killers when she arrived. The story ran for some time and then they dropped it. She was stealing to feed her habit and put Lexi in danger...Phil threw her out over that. Gavin pushed his sister out of a window, killing her, and is now in prison.

Never knew about the drug addiction. And for some reason instead of thinking of Gavin, I though of Den Watts even though he has never been in it while I watched it.

I have seen the 1989 Sharon/Michelle two hander a few times since I think, 2011 - the first time? It was 2010 that over the course of a few months I watched a bunch of 1985 episodes starting from the beginning as someone had uploaded them to Youtube. Of course in 2012 BBC uploaded in excellent quality 1985 from the first episode up until about October or so, around the time of Simon Wicks' first appearance. Bit disappointing they seem to have taken them down, as I liked to go and watch an episode or two in good quality occasionally.

I imagine they may resurface eventually somewhere in official capacity, they must have taken them down for a rason.

The original two hander felt so earned and deserved to me, these two young women really had such a complicated dynamic, yet a lot of this was unknown to Sharon. A horrible shock/reality, yet also long term - a comfort. Sharon and Michelle were tied(even if not by blood) because of Vicky and both had a lot of baggage from Den. It seems kind of fitting they should have a new two hander now, after all this time.

Great news as I have missed the two-hander episodes and I think Jenna Russell will deliver some moving performances when Michelle explains her reasons for returning to Walford.
