Digital Spy Reader Awards 2016...
Only just spotted the artcle here:
http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/feature...16-results-tv/ It's a bit tricky for this one to be fair because shows that are FTA are probably going to get more votes than shows on paid channels. Here's my rundown of stuff that didn't get into the top 10 in their category but should have been there (again, paid TV might have a lot to do with this, plus I think the best US TV mostly outshines the best UK TV as you'll see below): Best drama: Billions, House Of Cards, Daredevil, The Girlfriend Experience, Mr. Robot, Luke Cage, Goliath, Good Girls Revolt, The Young Pope, Designated Survivor, Graves Best actress: Maggie Siff (Billions), Riley Keough (The Girlfriend Experience), Gillian Jacobs (Love), Herizen F. Guardiola (The Get Down) Best actor: Remi Malek (Mr. Robot), Billy Bob Thornton (Goliath), Justice Smith (The Get Down), Jude Law (The Young Pope) Best comedy: Silicon Valley (this has been the best comedy on TV for 3 years now, IMHO - ridiculous it's not in the top 10), Ash vs Evil Dead, Love Best comedy star: TJ Miller (Silicon Valley), Bruce Campbell (Ash vs Evil Dead), Gillian Jacobs (Love) Best character: Bobby Axelrod (Billions), Ashley 'Ash' J. Williams (Ash vs. Evil Dead), Billy McBride (Goliath) Most pleasant surprise: Billions, Goliath Most devasting death: Brock Williams (Ash vs. Evil Dead) Most evil villain: Bobby Axelrod (Billions) Most incredible twist: Bernard is a robot clone of Arnold (Westworld) Best entertainment show: Have I Got A Bit More News For You, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Full Frontal With Samantha Bee Best presenter: John Oliver (Last Week Tonight) |
