Is it compulsory to watch TV at Christmas?

Why not listen some good music if you have any on CD or good old vinyl, I mean, come Hogmany night, me and my wife will be in our music room to listen to our favourite sounds rather than having the TV on. Being a native Scot in Scotland, Jackie Bird and co with all that hoochin and choochin gets on my wick
No but this is a thread about Christmas TV ! And as long as we are forced by law to pay the TV tax we are entitled call out the BBC for being crap.

I will be very glad when BBC1 stops mucking about with the news broadcast timings and reverts to the usual 1300, 1800 and 2200. I prefer to use BBC1 to BBC News Ch because of the associated local news slots which are not on News Ch.

Looks like I have to wait until Tuesday.

I'm totally fed up with cartoons, cartoons and even more cartoons. Even Freeview has children's channels so why the need to show them on the main channels? Lazy scheduling.

It used to kid's programmes all day, grown-ups found other things to do during the day.
