How old are you - 5?
Times that by 4 and you will have the correct answer.

But EE fans are staggeringly aggressive and defensive, compared to other soaps. They're like a cult, I find it creepy and completely alienating.
Bit harsh.

Walks of chanting "Duff Duff, Duff, Duff...."

I love how Emmerdale and CS love to bash EastEnders fans when there shows aren't doing good. Jealous that we don't have advert breaks and you do?
This is the sort of partisan, tribal, childish nonsense I'm talking about. You're 20, really?

Funny I feel like that on the Emmerdaily. Nobody should feel alienated no matter what soap
The episode threads are incredibly cliquey, they're awful. There's no point making any contribution to them if you're not already in that inner circle.

Agreed, If it wasn't for us this forum wouldn't scale back by over 5000 pages.

I do try to come off a little funny... If you think i'm in the slightest way I was being serious about CS and Emmerdale being jealous then you need to lighten up...unless you are jealous and are taking it personal...

People started voting for EE on the poll both before the episode had aired, and before it had finished. That shows you the mentality of EE fans - most of them are totally mental.

And what's wrong with that? who wants to be normal and boring? Us EE fans rock.

If we even speak about Emmerdale and CS they all get mad yet they think it's fine to call us mental and aggressive. I have never encountered a mental or aggressive EE fan. But I have met some in the CS and ED fan groups.

Apart from yourself of course. If people have the audacity to say they don't like EastEnders you have a go at them - heck you even started a thread about it!

The sweeping generalisations on here are frankly disgraceful to be honest.
There are knob heads across all soaps

Here comes the tribe mentality again Why is it so hard for people like you to understand that some people like more than one soap, and like me, don't have any particular loyalty to any one soap; accept that all the soaps have their positives and negatives?

This is pathetic and boring. I don't like EastEnders, by the sounds of it you don't like Emmerdale. You enjoy your show, us Emmerdale fans will enjoy ours.

There seems to be alot of hostility on here at the moment Noxy. So much for the season of goodwill

I can understand that people watch more than one soap cause I do too. I can even understand the 'my soap is better than yours element to an extent' when its banter and maybe during the soap awards occasion. It's when for example an 'EE' fan chooses to dig at CS or ED continuously and deliberately to bait for arguments over and over again, I accept I've done it in the past but I'm making a conscious effort to do better this year and have no desire to do it in future . I'm over cheap point scoring, all I wanna do is chill and watch my Emmerdale

If this is aimed at me I have no desire to cause arguments. I quite like Corrie but I am not a fan of ED it is my opinion I find it ridiculous especially that car crash.

I know! At the end of the day it's only soap, no need for people to take it so seriously. Happy new year, Sorcha!

Great post and very honest. We've had our moments but I'm truly glad we got past them

Please get over yourself. Your whining and aggressive attitude is driving posters off this forum.

Can't you stop defending EE for one day? Why do you feel the need to respond to every negative comment about it. It's tiresome and unnecessary.

I voted EE as best Christmas soap. Doesn't mean I have to now go around being aggressive to other FMs because they didn't. Just grow up a bit.

Eastenders is winning? It was absolutely dire..

(this coming from an EE fan btw - I look forward to it every Xmas)
EastEnders would win whether its excellent, good, bad or piss poor. The fact some vote in the poll before the ep has aired tells you all you need to know.
