Should Nicola and Teresa do a Christmas speech?
starry_rune

3.00pm - HM the Queen's speech
3.11pm Teresa May's speech
3.25pm - FM Nicola Sturgon's speech

Ideally though, it would be good if Nicola and teresa - JUST FOR CHRISTMAS DAY - could sit together and address the nation peacefully. Afterall, even the troops in World War One called a temporary ceasefire on Christmas day. Democracy spoke, they are our leaders, and it would be nice to see them show us how to be peaceful for one day,

You are cloaking Sturgeon with delusions of grandeur there.
She's no more my 'leader' than the town council mayor. Her spoutings count for zilch with more than 90% of the UK population.

Well, she can arrange the UKs dissolution which is probably more than your town council mayor can muster...

Did the The State Union of England and Wales pick its flag yet?

Since Sturgeon has the ability to cause nausea among anyone who doesnt share her sectarian biggotry I suggest some kind of warning is broadcast beforehand.

No she can't. Representing some dissenting voices to national policy, yes.

In preparation for "hymns from around 3.30 - 6pm". That's if you haven't already dozed off in front of one of the "fireplace scenes":

.......There is no need for most of the TV channels to be broadcasting at all. I'd have BBC One, ITV and Channel 4. The others would display nice fireplace scenes and merry Christmas messages.

'dissenting voices to national policy' - national policy on what?

If you mean the dissolution of the UK (by Scottish Independence) - The majority of the Scottish Parliament favour it openly as do roughly 95% of Scottish MPs.

I assume you mean something else?

The majority of Scotland doesn't favour independence though.
