Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Last day at work before a day off...I could sleep for a week. I enjoyed last night episode loved hearing the stone roses. Kudos to Cain and Moira for good music taste. Felt a bit s*it for Joanie man... Liseh should put up a banner saying "we were married for 18 years. I know too much" I also enjoyed the nicola/elliot scenes and I usually hate her. Happy Boxing Day...you lazy lazy bast*rbs

I hope she doesn't. He's by far the cutest kid in all of Soapland. But, yes, I hope we get to see that. They are the two best-looking guys in Emmerdale.

Morning chris - are you a bit space hopperish again? I am.

Duffy has resorted to desperate measures trying to convey "Free Willy" to his 23 guests.

It's shocking how little I care about whether Zak and Lisa, a well known soap couple who were married for 18 years, reunite. Well I care as much to think it would be one of the most degrading displays ever if Lisa caved in and took him back....

Having said that I was one of the few who didn't mind Zak and Joanie's affair originally. As Lisa had turned into a bit of a drudge and there wasn't much of a connection going on anymore with Zak. Joanie brought some light into his life. Course we had to have the inevitable shine wearing off and Zak being drawn back to Lisa stuff eventually.

Lisa's been better recently than she was when I was glad of Zak's affair. But I wonder if putting her back with Zak they'll just revert back to those tired last few years.

There's an interview with Steve Halliwell on Metro.co.uk and I get the feeling he's dissatisfied with a lot of what Zak's turned into, not just the affair.

I could've lived without the fake snow.

Everything with Ashley was touching.

It wasn't fake snow according to an inside source, it's not unreasonable to think it was real either especially when they film in advance and in relation to the other British soaps it's the furthest north

I ended up playing the post-it note game at my brother's house and if it hadn't been for my sister in law miming a forward roll, I'd never had guessed Louis Spence.

The snow was definitely real, they tweeted about it as they were filming the Christmas episode.

I hated that ED was on so early last night, so we didn't get to sit down and watch it as a family as we were still doing stuff. Wish ITV would put it on before Corrie.

Anyway, I saw it this morning and really enjoyed it. Yes it was low-key but I liked that, not every Christmas episode has to have loads of drama and twists and turns. I enjoyed the Dingle's Christmas and the Moira and Cain scenes. The Barton stuff was cool, enjoyed Emma and Leyla competing with each other. Zack and Joanie breaking up a year after they got together was coming, I knew the new producer would make that happen. Felt sorry for Joanie though, I didn't actually mind the two of them together.

I wonder how long it will be before Lisa and Zack end up in bed then...

The Ashley scenes were nicely done and the episode had a nice cosy feel, the snow helped lots.

Saw bits of EE but don't follow it and we all sat down and saw Corrie and I didn't think much of it.

Just watched the episode. I'm not keen on the doom and gloom the soaps put out on Christmas, so I really enjoyed Emmerdale being all warmer and fluffier. The Thomas' stuff was truly lovely, as was the stuff with the Kings (necklace stealing aside). Also, Emma v Leyla is probably one of the most realsitc scenarios I have ever seen on a soap My least favourite stuff was probably Zak/Lisa/Joanie, because like I said, not keen on the gloom. Although, I did laugh at Charity and Carly cooking up a peacock speaking of the Dingles, where was Noah? Not invited to Christmas day? Can't say I blame them

How lucky were TPTB that when they shot their Christmas episode it was snowing. No need to that foam stuff they usually use

Hope everyone had a good Christmas
