Matt Lucas also a full-time companion?
He was featured very heavily in that trailer, looked like he was in several different episodes!
If its the case he is a companion alongside Bill then how on earth did they keep that quiet? |

Looks like it. Finally, a companion from the future. I hope they make use of that aspect.
And I understand the need for a light-hearted companion like Nardole to play off of Capaldi's sardonic Doctor. I don't see any improvement for the show's popularity though. |

Actually Lucas was way better than I thought he was going to be. It will be interesting to see how Nardole and Bill work together.

I thought he was good.
I really like the idea of a very different companion. |

If Bill doesn't work out - we can have Nardole

Not sure he's in all episodes. We'll have to wait and see...

Moffat states that Matt Lucas’ role has been extended greatly from an initial few episodes: “He was contracted for certain episodes [of the 2017 series], and he’s crept into far more of them. I think he’s going to end up being in all of them, in fact, because we love him.”
