There was so many people missing that I'm actually wondering whether the CS cast is suffering from a Flu epidemic and the whole thing had to be re-written at the last minute.

That's certainly how it felt.

Those that are on Twitter, maybe start tweeting some of the cast to ask why half of of them were missing in action lol!

You're so right. It was like it was hastily rewritten because a bug wiped out half the actors the day of filming.
