Just heard about this. Like what the actual...

It's both fitting, touching and creepy that he got Last Christmas played in his honour on EE last night.

RIP George.

I was just thinking how eerie that his number one fan spoke of him from beyond the grave only last night.

It is sad. I wonder if they ever invited him onto the show to meet Hev. RIP George.

Terribly sad.

Spending the rest of the evening listening to George Michael songs. Currently on Careless Whisper.

If I remember correctly, Corrie also opened with Last Christmas? Sung by the ridiculous choir?

I'm shocked. I remember dancing to the Wham rap in my teens with my classmates

Loved his voice

Hope Heather greeted George when he got to heaven! Just glad she's not alive to see all this. She would have been devastated!

That is just lovely,

The Hev mixtape was something I immediately thought of when I heard the news. When Rick Parfitt died on Christmas Eve I was talking about how awful it's going to be when my 80s idols start to die. And there it is. So sad.

Heather sobbing to Careless Whisper. One of the first things I recalled when the news broke.

I can't stop thinking about this today. I am so emotional about it. George was such a huge icon and the fact that so many people associate him with EE says so much about his cultural impact.

How is that slagging Corrie off. Because KK didn't like the choir? There's a lot of things I don't like in the soaps, but it doesn't mean I'm always slagging it off

It'd be a nice little line to add in, but would EE have been filming today? If not they couldn't have added in a last minute scene.
