Why would anyone in their right mind think that a nationalist/isolationist like Trump would make an exception to the UK when it comes to screwing over as many countries as he sees fit if it meets with his infantile notions of how things should be.

It's forecast by 2025 China economically will be number one, I suspect Trump will do all he can to stop that...it may explain the friendliness expressed to Putin, who leading a financially weak Russia....Trump creates an ally with Russia against China.

As for the UK, a cynical Trump could cut a good deal with the UK in his attempt to break up the EU to give American companies free reign in Europe.

Trump has already indicated he is quite willing to tear up any agreement once it has served its purpose.

Some people in Britain seemed to have assumed his pro-Brexit comments were proof that he loves the UK and is opposed to the EU but when an interviewer asked him for his opinion of Brexit in May this year, he didn't even know what the word 'Brexit' meant or what he was being asked about (he presumably came to like the idea a few weeks later because he liked the right wing nationalist / isolationist sound of it).
