Android not freeing up SPACE after Uninstalling apps - NOT INSTALLED FOR THIS USER.
Hi there,
We have had a problem with our children's tablets where they say they have run out of space so think "fair enough we will Uninstall some apps". Even though the new app only say needs 100mb of space even though we Uninstall several gb of apps it still says not enough space (even after we try running a cleaner). In the past we have even tried moving apps to the SD card still with no luck. I'm thinking it may be removing the app from the main side, but not for our children's side (as a different user) as its saying NOT INSTALLED FOR THIS USER. It's just so frustrating as had Nooks, Asus, Hudl 2 and now an Alba ones. |

It might be worth plugging it into a pc/laptop and looking through the files and manually deleting stuff. Video ads are kept on the device for example, get rid of any photos/movie downloads (or move them to the pc) Try and install CCleaner and tell that what to remove.

I have now found out how to do it.
You click on the app and then press the 3 dots in the top right and then select UNINSTALL FOR ALL USERS. They don't make it too obvious. Thanks for the reply. Mark. |
