I was expecting the Movellan sighting to be fans seeing things but, no, it really does look like them. Even down to the weapons. Most surprising come back since the Maccra?

Are these Movellans as in the silver-haired androids from Destiny of the Daleks? I've watched the trailer a few times now and I'm not seeing them.

Whilst I still think the BBC needs to re-learn how to put a really good trailer together, what we've seen of Series 10 so far looks promising and varied. Harder to pin down a particular tone to it, but maybe that's deliberate after the specifically dark/gloomy tone of Series 9.
- Daleks are inevitable. My knowledge of Classic Who is quite limited, and I had not heard of the Movellans before reading here. But then I'd never heard of the Macra before Series 3, so enjoy that the show can dip into its vast continuity now and then. - The Valencia filming is a personal highlight for me. Apart from being my future home city which makes it extra fun spotting it as opposed to my curent home city (London) yet again, it looks brilliant and gives off a bit of a Tomorrowland vibe. - The emoji robots could be interesting... so far a bit reminiscent of Series 6's The Girl Who Waited in terms of style. There could be a decent oidea behind these, and frankly it has to be better than that trailer for the awful Emoji Movie. - The regency era episode certainly looks the part! Hopefully it'll not be the kind of episode that shows off impressive sets and locations for a couple of minutes and then consigns itself to cheap spaceship sets or something for the rest of it. Hopefully some of the CGI that looked like it was from this episode will be ironed out as well by the time it's broadcast. - The Landlord episode looks creepy enough. Hard to really decipher from the trailer quite what's going on there, but it again adds to the variety of what is on offer. - There's a brilliant one-off shot of what I think is from Rona Munro's The Eaters of Light episode which shows the Tardis on the sprawling Welsh landscape. It looks stunning, as did the location photos... I wonder if they'll have worked in the epic rainbow that appeared whilst filming. - Bill seems really likeable to me. A hell of a lot of questions, and that's clearly what they're focusing on here. She's a much more 'fish out of water' companion than Clara was, but that could again be a lot of fun. I'm hust hoping the inclusion of Nardole doesn't interfere with that too much... open-minded as I am he doesn't seem to be of great purpose in Series 10 so far, and his two appearances so far have been respectively inconseqeuntial, and frustrating. |

Well as a trailer, it certainly was far better than those of Series 8 and 9 which seemed to lack a sense of urgency and fun about them. So maybe this a sign the show is going to become more fun again? I rather hope it is!
Daleks though do annoy me. I know some on here don't get my dislike of them but I genuinely don't find them interesting. Hopefully that episode is a bit into the series. S9 made a mistake having its big two parter with Daleks at the start. Hopefully the lesson has been learnt. Elsewhere it looks okay but I do have a feeling Bill is going to annoy me. I get why she's being compared to Donna, but I never got the hate surrounding her. In the bit we saw of Bill earlier this year I wasn't impressed and her in the trailer doesn't help me either. Fingers crossed it's better than these first impressions though. |

I thought the emoji robots resemble "Rory" from The Girl Who Waited

I don't think is that her voice is annoying more her dialogue is too contrived which I think is going to be a major distraction she trying too hard in her acting.
Agree. I am little worried that I am going to find her very annoying. She seems to remind me of Donna's personality a little. Which I did find a little annoying at times. So far from what little I have seen in the trailers Bill seems to have been given rubbish dialogue. |

It's hugely premature to say that her dialogue is contrived when you haven't heard it in context, just 3-4 second clips on a trailer.

You can't tell me when she said "Get in!" You didn't cringe a little..
I don't think the trailer did her much justice in editing all the questions together but im excited to see whats to come this year |

Why does the trailer have to be about HER. The show is about HIM.

Hard to tell from that if Bill will be lovably quirky and inquisitive or just annoying. Hopefully the former. She definitely seems to have not a shred of the arrogance of Clara, so that's a big improvement straight away for me.
At 0:26 does anyone else think the wet woman screaming looked like one of the water monsters from the waters of mars? Emoji robots - I so hoped this rumour wouldn't be true, but the trailer obviously confirmed it. The cringe worthy sounding concept, along with the rumour that it is the one written by Frank Cottrell Boyce makes me think this could well be one of the worst, if not the worst of the series. Happy to be proven wrong of course and as always, despite my misgivings about the concept, I will go into it with an open mind and judging what comes on screen at the time. The victorian/regency (not sure which it is) looks visually stunning. Hopefully the story matches the aesthetics. Daleks - unlike some I never mind them appearing frequently, I just hope they get a big story worthy of them this time, as I feel they haven't for a while. Last series opener was a good story for Davros, but the Daleks themselves felt little more than window dressing. |

Looks to me like they're in the same episode as the Daleks, so perhaps we might see this Dalek-Movellan war that Destiny of the Daleks mentioned? That, or it's round 2.
Firstly, the only Daleks that appear in the trailer are modern ones, and secondly the whole point of Destiny was that barely any actual fighting took place in the war, simply an incessant stalemate (until the Movellans created their virus.) There seems to be a lot of carnage in the trailer though. |

I don't think they should have had Bill narating on the trailer and especially not in conjunction with all her questions from the episodes, there was too much of Bill's voice.

I do like this trailer. Looks like new planets and time travel outside of present day. A little excited to see Movellans too. Reserving judgement on Bill. Seems to have some wide eyed wonder which is great Hopefully she is fun rather than irritating. |

I really hope that the Daleks and Movellans (if that's who they are, but it does seem likely) are going to be the final two episodes of the series. The show needs to go out with a bang, with a proper thrilling season finale, rather than a whimper like the last few series.

I know they don't always film in the correct order, but as a general rule the earlier stories are filmed first. |
