Okay I have quite a few things about Bethany that I thought to share.

first was it just me or does she look like Meghan Trainor (look at her then at her on her first album cover try saying they dont look similar) and now i cant look at one without thinking of the other aaahh

second... will she have a baby herself? this would make Audrey a great-great gran and span their family 5 generations. Would be fab if Bethany had her daughter. Doesn't need to be around this time, but Sarah and Audrey were both teens when having their respective daughters. I also wonder if the older man thing is just because of Bethanys' young age? someone whos been around longer and knows more

Third is probaly being answered tonight but whos this mystery man who picked her up and took her away after she passed out?

so no definate spoilers as always but like to hear ideas and i really like all this bethany stuff - just so many ways they could go about her in years to come. Right now, things are just amazing with this

One thing I forgot to ask/suggest but do you think Bethany could meet her dad sometime? i think the only time the guy was seen was when Sarah were up the duff back in '99 but yeahh he could find her or meet by chance. I don't think Sarah would be happy bunny but Bethany might be glad to. I don't recall her saying anything either way but its just one of the many things they could work with for her character
Some storylines which focus on long lost relatives building bridges (so to speak) are tedious but some are really good so i wouldnt outrule it if it were in my hands

Unfortunately, Bethany's father Neil Fearns died off-screen due to a car crash in 2003.

Bethanys dad died in an offscreen car crash when she was a toddler so that one's out.

Bethany, could meet her father's side of the family however, both her grandfather and her grandmother (Brenda) have been in the show.

I've warmed to Bethany after initially being horrified by the character when she started, but the sex ring thing sounds incredibly dull to me.

If you want to ruin the character, by all means get her pregnant.

The actress who plays Bethany should have a smaller head imo. Sarah still looks younger than her in most shots and I think a lot of that is down to the fact that she - Sarah - has such a small head.

Gail and David have quite small heads too.

Great character, good beautiful young actress, Corrie bosses and writers will screw it up completely with ludicrous story lines. Its a cert!!!

Gail's head is tiny, but her hair is massive - you can hardly see her little face because of it.

Bethany's head is pretty big, but not sure it's that making her look so old compared to Sarah I wonder at what age your head stops growing

Bethany's mouth always seems very small to me. When she isn't wearing lipstick it gives her a bit of a mean look.

Please .......not another schoolgirl pregnancy story. It isn't long since we had the badly produced and badly acted last one. It would be nice if the writers would make Bethany into a responsible girl, send her to university or into nursing perhaps. It seems that the only future for any girl in Coronation Street is to get pregnant and work in the Rovers or the factory. .

Send her for higher education? Are you serious. Do you really want a female version of Ken Barlow. I'd rather take the gas pipe and you'd be to blame thank you very much.

Even if she got a university education she would still end up working in the pub or factory.

Sarah had Bethany at 13 and Bethany is now 16 making Sarah 29. If Bethany did get pregnant now that would indeed make Sarah a grandmother at 30. I believe it would make her corries youngest ever granny other soaps have had younger grandparents though. Charity Dingle on Emmerdale had daughter Debbie at 13 and Debbie had Sarah at 15 making Charity a grandma at 28. Shirley Carter on eastenders had son Mick at 14 and Mick had his son Lee at 14 as well making Shirley a grandmother at 28. And Hollyoaks Leela had daughter Peri at 13 who had her daughter Steph at 15 making Leela a granny at 28 as well. So 28 is the record.

I completely agree. Bethany has promise but they keep putting her in these adult situations and I'd rather see her behave more like a teenager to balance it out a bit. I could believe her having a crush on Gary that seems more realistic, but Im already dreading watching this Nathan guy and this whole thing start to unfold.

I agree. Just saw the Boxing Day episodes and this Nathan is both a complete stranger and a creep whatever else he is. At least Bethany's crush on Gary was understandable and even if she had crushed on Luke at least they are both people she and her family know. I'm a bit annoyed by the way she handled it though - running away, throwing tantrums etc as it led Gary and Sarah to split - had they all been together as a strong family unit she wouldn't end up involved with the new creep. She would instead have a kind friend and father figure in the form of Gary.

I agree, and as a Sarah and Gary fan, it's a shame they've broken up. I'm still hoping they reunite soon.
