So the Queen did back Brexit?
https://www.theguardian.com/politics...ura-kuenssberg
The row over whether the Queen was in favour of Brexit has been reignited by the BBC’s political editor, Laura Kuenssberg, after she revealed a source told her before the referendum that the monarch made comments supportive of leaving the EU. Kuenssberg recalled what she had been told by a contact nine months after the Sun sparked controversy by publishing a headline, “Queen backs Brexit”, in March. The front page caused one of the biggest rows of the EU referendum campaign and prompted a successful complaint to the press regulator, Ipso, by Buckingham Palace, which said it was misleading. |

Perhaps she's determined to live long enough to knight Sir Nigel.

Given her age and her strong support of the Commonwealth I would suggest it is statistically likely she wasn't too disappointed at the result on 23 June.
But the great thing is we don't know and never will. Maybr her son needs to take some lessons in how a monarch should behave - totally above politics so everyone can unite behind the head of state. |

Point taking is not a strong point.
2. I thought Farage fans were supposed to be anti establishment? A knighthood is hardly anti establishment is it? So sorry point taking is certainly a strong point. |

It seems she was pro-Brexit, but I believe the BBC was correct to hide the story from the public. What the Queen thinks is really of little relevance to the whole debate.

This report means nothing. It's very possible that this source is the same person who fed Gove the story that he then gave to the Sun. Nothing confirmed by anybody. You could just as easily say it about anybody as unless it's confirmed or denied, it never happened.

Attacks British democracy, attacks the British legal system, then uses Christmas to attack the Church of England. ![]() However I'm sure there are many who would like to see him bowed before the Queen while she swings a large sword. |

Journalist claims that an unnamed source told her what someone else is alleged to have said.
Unsubstantiated tittle tattle. |

Liar Kuenssberg nicknamed Tory Kuensssberg and her BS "sources" again.
BBC's very own Kay Burley. Weren't we told at the time that "the source" was Michael Gove? |

Kuenssberg has written 100s of pieces and spoken over the years for hours on 'what a source has told me.' That is how she makes a living and finds relevance in this world and there is nothing wrong with that.
However she was correct to hide this information from the public concerning the Queen. Prince Charles, the Queen and the rest of them should really keep quiet concerning these matters and Kuenssberg did the right thing censoring what she had heard in this instance. If the source had spoken about overhearing Carney or Clegg - I am sure she wouldn't have hesitated. Often on the Daily Politics she rattles off all her gossip without problems and that is how it should be. |
