Ever since Kate Oates has taken over, we've seen a lot less of Sean. Moving into Norris' house has obviously limited his screen time as if he still lived at Eileen's he'd be appearing a lot.

I wonder if Kate isn't a fan and purposefully moved him out of the Grimshaws to limit his screen time.

Never been a Sean fan so I'm happy with this current situation!

He had a lot of screentime recently and a biggish storyline so he is probably just having that bit of rest they try and give them. He has been in a fair few scenes but not the main focus.

Other characters take periods of time off, not just Sean. His last episode was on the 2nd December.

The less I see of him the better. Appalling actor. I would laugh my socks of she decides to axe him. I agree it appears he's been taken out of the Grimshaw spotlight to give him less screentime. The Phelan storyline is probably the most important storyline right now and I for one am glad Sean is out of the way.

Well that's one thing Corrie's got right this Christmas.

He's taking a well-earnt break.

Don't be surprised if Oates signs up him, the Grimshaws and Phelan for another one-year rolling contract.

Like anything could make that story any worse.

Where is he supposed to be for story line purposes? Missed a bit of Corrie recently so not sure if there was the traditional factory Xmas party this year? Surely he wouldn't have missed that 😒

True, seeing as Brian and Norris went to join Roy Cropper for dinner but Sean wasn't present (despite being Norris' lodger also).

I guess he was visiting Violet and Dylan in London?

Been thinking for a while. Its also easier to remove him if he isn't in the Grimshaws

I notice he wasn't at the Norris, Brian, Roy and Mary meal the other night

Mind you, Kieron Roberts, the head honcho, has to be removed for Sean to go...

Actually he was in the Christmas Eve episode in a "blink and you'll miss him moment".

He had no dialogue and was just seen walking across to the table by the door to collect glasses towards the end of the episode.

I also noticed he wasn't credited on the closing credits either.

The same Violet who was homophobic towards him in 2011?

It's a shame I'm only an irregular viewer these days so am missing out on the full benefit of the show being light on Sean. Although there are plenty of other dreadful aspects going off the spoilers so maybe it's a good thing.

Yes. Although when she was involved in a car crash she sent their son to stay with him for a short while and since then Sean has visited her now and again (although it's been four years since Dylan last appeared).

And yes, Sean isn't the best character but at least most of the time he is reduced to a background character. There is worse at the moment.

I would love to see go but he is likely to be a Corrie lifer.
